As far as I know, both FAG and SKF are OEM-quality makes, so I would be happy with either.

My rear bearings are FAG, but the fronts are SKF.

In that case, "trying too hard" would be true for pretty much all the latest M cars, including the M3, M4 and X5M/X6M...

The M5 still looks more or less subtle, compared to the others in the range.

Does it grind immediately after the engine starts? If so, I had the same problem. Yeah, you just need the starter.

Better get it replaced asap, before it damages the teeth on the flywheel...

Re: e30 wheel fitment help

Pretty sure 8.5J will be hitting the struts on the front, but if you space them out, then most likely will be rubbing on the arch...

These sizes are way too big and unnecessary, imo. Even if you manage to fit them, the car will handle like a cow on ice.

Most likely this.

Since you've got it all down at the moment, renew everything that hasn't been done before, i.e. trailing arm bushes, top mounts, prop guibo and center mount, gear linkage, gearbox mounts, etc.

Unusual size for 15x7 - wider section for no reason, probably more expensive too? What's wrong with 205/50/15?

As long as your brake lights work, it will pass MOT. That warning on the check panel is not a failure, assuming the lights actually work.

Re: 225/45/15 Toyo R888's

Might be a bit wide for a 7j rim. Exactly. Assuming we're talking about the standard 15" BBS, then 205 width is more than enough. 225 would be good for a 7.5J rim, but since the E30 15" BBS are only 7J, then there's no point of going wider. This could also explain your rubbing issues...If you want ...

Are the metal clips that hold the pipes present on both sides of the T-shaped valve?

If the clips are there and the water doesn't leak out from the pipes or the valve itself, then could be just a simple matter of unblocking the washers?
