Cruise Control Connectors & Switches
I've been going mad trying to figure out what the connectors are for on my cruise control, as it doesn't seem to match up exactly with what's written in this forum and on another site where I found a guide with photos. Could someone please help me out? http://www.richardlawley.com/DSC00131.JPG On th...

Cruise control - where does the actuator mount
I've got a cruise control kit, and I think I'm ok on most of the stuff, apart from I can't figure out where the actuator is supposed to mount. Could someone point me in the right direction or send a photo?
Cheers,
Richard

I'm having a similar problem with my 325 - everything left of center will produce different levels of noise. The noise only occurs when I am moving - I can turn lock to lock without any noises on the spot. There is plenty of power steering fluid in the reservoir, although it is quite dirty. If it's ...

I've considered the 100w bulbs, but road rallying uses the public roads so I have to be able to get them past the police & the scrutineers! I think I probably will just try different bulbs to start with, but that is reliant on me being able to open the light covers - they were siezed when I tried be...

Repair manual with photos
Just thought I'd share that I found a decent repair manual with loads of useful photos (better than a Haynes manual anyday!) on edonkey - the file is called BMW E30 M3 Repair Manual.rar, and it about 30Mb. It has lots of useful sections that I haven't seen anywhere - I found a guide to fitting cruis...

Headlight Upgrades
I use my 325 for road rallying, and am looking to upgrade the headlights a little. At the moment, dipped beam isn't great, but the main problem is full beam. While there's plenty of light, it's focussed in too much of a straight line - going round bends on country roads I often want to see a bit mor...

I'm having the same problem on my 325i, but it has definitely started to happen more recently. It used to idle a little over 1000rpm on a cold morning and then settle down to about 750. Now, it will frequently idle at 1500+ after I come to a halt. If I sit there for a while (sometimes upto a minute)...

If you haven't sorted it yet, there is a connector to the gearbox that you can get at from inside the car - take off the cover round the gear lever and you can see the connector going down to the gearbox. Disconnect this and you can check the contact between the pins when you put it into reverse (or...
