I'll keep a look out, had 4 of my Saab wheels nicked few months ago by those "scrap dealers" who cruise round in shagged Transits looking for metal from anywhere, fortunately the tyres were knackered and the wheels were virtually worthless.
What makes you think they're heading towards Cambridge?

Re: BMW E30' six pots actually chronically undervalued
They're all expensive compared to Saabs!! I'd love a E30 but to used to paying less than a £1000 for almost any Saab 900, even the Turbo 16s where even a really good one is only around £2000 and is arguably a classic and in same class and age as a E30. Ordinary 900i's in a good condition is sub £500...

Re:
Looking at the C&SC piece it appears to have been written last year as the earliest blog comments relate to 52 weeks ago. I may be mistaken but I think that is old news based on last year's budget. You're right, that article was written on 21st March 2013, just under George Osbourne at the top of t...

Re:
As an extra one of those cans was enough for me to do all 4 inner wheel arches, inside of the entire sills, inside the front chassis members, drive shaft tunnels, corners of the inner wheel arches and each end of the wheel arches where the bodykit meets the arches (this is a Saab 900 turbo so simila...

Re: Car security
Fuel pump relay/wiring is the one, beauty of it is even if they know about you can cut into at any place and hide the bypass anywhere Sometimes that can backfire though, know of a Saab 9000 Aero being broken into, couldn't start it so then popped the bonnet to quickly realise the cylinder head was m...

No, you're right, the Waxoyl had the nail in the tube (have one of those hand pump thingies, bit like a plant sprayer really) because it has an outlet to flow out of the nail doesn't have to be in too hard, never came out so assuming this. The Bilt one as said earlier by spook (which reminded me of ...

Re: Cavity waxing with Bilthamber Dynax S50
I've used both Waxoyl and the Bilt stuff, Waxoyl on the general underside and then the Bilt stuff in the chassis/sills and in the case of my Saab drive shaft tunnels. Used the stuff in aerosol form with the long pipe and a nail in the end so the stuff sprays sideways out from the pipe, so easy and q...

If you can get the covers off then you're made, the fabric dye fixed with salt would be ideal, loads of colours to choose from too

Re: Rats c*cks, £50 down and this time its not Ebay/Paypal!
Lower note depicts a rather pudgy-looking Queen's head, but otherwise they are very convincing - easy to see why they can be passed off as the real deal. Always struck me as odd that the forgers do a cracking job on the rest of the note, then almost deliberately put in a dodgy detail. :? That's wha...

Good idea with the drilling and pressing the pattern out... As to stop or curtail the cracks Saab 900's have the same problem and mine has cracked, fortunately got a spare uncracked one to replace it but the bods on the Saab forums suggest a anti-uv protectant similar to this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/...

Fascinating stuff, some may say it's not worth fixing up but if you enjoy it and I assume like me you like 4 doors then what is there to lose? Used Waxoyl myself, both the underseal stuff and the "oyl" rust preventer, underseal I painted on with a brush on the panels on the floor plan and the oyl sp...

Re: Buying without a V5
Seen this on Fleabay plenty of times, saying the logbook is on it's way but will provide a receipt. Receipt is fair enough, if not vital but with no logbook when nowadays doesn't take long at all to get back from Swansea is a tad disturbing to say the least...Having said that I done exactly that 8O ...

Had the impression (from reading other bits of the Net) that you can run it on classic policy but you never build up/keep any no claims so therefore after a couple of years you've lost the no claims discount you've built up over the years incase you change your mind and go back to a typical car....?

Re: Buying spray paint.
The gun attachment thingy is a very good idea, gives much better control, even more so the longer you use as Jonas says it eases the effect it has on your fingers trying to hold the head down. You may be lucky where you are as was I when I found one of these spray can attachments at one of the many ...

Re: Buying spray paint.
Another for Paints4u, even cheaper buying 2 cans of same colour, only place I could get satin lacquer (a local paint supplier couldn't even do that)
Had the right colour too for my SAAB's bumper and body kit, very happy with them.
