Re: Ages since I was here..

How's it going? Facebook is mostly to blame I think but it's busier than it has been of late. Same folks still here. Have you still got your e30? Still got it but its been off the road for nearly a year now but haven't the heart to let it go. This place was so vibrant at one time - could spend all ...

Re: Daily Drivers

My daily is an E39 530d sport. Its a bit frilly around the edges but goes very well - a lot faster than the E30 and it does around 50 mph on a run. There's a big forum on fb and parts can be cheap - under £100 for a black leather interior & cards the other day (and just how much for the same for an ...

Some prices are quite reasonable compared to e30s - particularly leather interiors at around the £150 mark including door cards.

There is a pair of black leather comforts going for £400 though on the FB group...

Re: E39 540i..... Surprisingly good!

Out of the future sale of my current car, I'm hoping to fund the bodywork repairs for the E30 and buy another car. I bought the other car a couple of weeks ago - an E39 530d. Its re-mapped (don't know what to) and has a cat delete. It goes like stink and currently showing 37 mpg around the doors - s...

No Electric

When I tried to get in the 325 a month ago the electrics were totally dead. Nothings been left on to flatten the battery, but Ive charged it overnight just in case, but still no joy. I've separated the C101 plug to have a look, but there's no signs of anything wrong with it. Has anyone any advice pl...

Re: Thinking of getting an E46 320d Touring...

The missus has had a manual 320d touring for a couple of years now. Its pretty basic spec, but only spend has been on rear discs & pads, which any car is going to need. Only niggle is the coating on the centre console, which is pretty fragile. No rust problems at all - thought the front wing issue w...

Re: Dodgy Alternator?

Hi Eddie, I had a couple of random flat batteries earlier this year, but the last one was while driving and the car needed recovering. The advice was to change the voltage regulator, which can be done without removing the alternator from the car. Got one of ebay for about £10 and its been fine since.
