On my '87 325es, a noise has recently developed that sounds like a whistle or high pitched whine coming from by the shifter. It is an automatic and the sound gets worse the higher the RPM goes. Any ideas of what this could be? Thanks.

Anyone have a DIY for clear front signals and side markers? Everywhere I look the signals are $60+ each and the side markers are $20+ each....it seems like I should be able to make them myself for much cheaper. Thanks for the help.

I need to remove the center panel that encloses the gearshift, houses the window switches and ashtray, etc. to hide a wire but I can't figure out what I need to remove in order to get that panel off. Any suggestions or does anyone have a DIY? Thank you!

I have an '87 325es and want to put a Euro plate on the front instead of my boring US one. Problem is, the license plate frame is part of the front bumper's rubber molding and it is shaped for a US plate. Does anyone have any ideas of how I could fit it on? I have an '87 325es and my hot start is acting up. If my engine is completely cold, it starts strong and instant, but if it is already hot, then I need to give it some gas in order to keep it from cutting out when I try and start it. Any idea what the problem is here? Thanks a lot for any help.

I took a solid year and a half, looking at all BMWs but eventually found an 87 325es with 99k mikes - needless to say it was worth the wait. Patience is a virtue.

Ok thanks but I am embarassed to say I dont know what you are talking about when you say 2lt bottom end and carbs! Good tips I will definitely act on them.

I love Beemers and just bought my first. It is a 1984 318i with 130k miles on it. I really want a body kit plus some tuning to give it some more power. Any advice? And would anyone happen to know any specialists/customizers on west coast of USA or specifically Washington? Thanks for any replies!
