Had my car for 10 years now trying to bring it back to life. I want to put a new clutch in. it is a 318i cab.

how much should I be paying for a new one? and what is the best clutch to go for. not looking for a sports clutch or anything like that.

its a black roof. I will need the rubbers changing definitely. Also the plastic windscreen. tensioner straps look fine. got a quote from the soft top shop for 850

I got the same problem. mines been sat for nearly a year now and the roofs been leaking I think its moister that's caused it.

I own a 318i cab 1992

My fuel filler kneck was rusted out so changed that but disturbed the part where it connects to the tank.

Now that is leaking was wondering where the best place to get a fuel tank would be. Also how much should it cost me to changed from a garage.

Had my car for 9 years engine is bang on tappets have gone Also needs The cam belt needs changing. Got a full top end cheap new tappets, camshaft, timeing belt, water pump as a Job lot. Also he's had the head all cleaned up. Wanted to slap it all in. How much roughly should I be paying to get it done?

Been told I should jack the car up and spin the wheels
If I hear a noise it's the wheel bearing

It gets louder the faster I drive.

Had it on the ramp today drivers side outer
Ball joint was gone changed that but still

Still sounds abit tappety, but pulls like normal.

Had my car for 7 years now started ticking bad. Give it an engine flush new oli and

My car is BMW 318i cab with a M40 engine 126 on the clock now.

The car is making a ticking sound when cold then quitens down after a few minutes once warmed up.

Was wondering what would be the best oil to quiten them down? And also if I should use some kind of additive to help?

Sorted ordered an aftermarket full assembly to make it easier to change. Gona have a crack at it tomorrow.

Cost 80 quid for the new one OEM part was like 150 new and second hand ones looked worse then what I pulled out.
