I havent done it from the ECU yet, as I cant find the correct readings that they should be tested at..

Andy, took your advice and went to ring the dealers today, but unfortunately someone got there before me and got the last fuel lines. As described, any body recommend best way going about replacing the steel fuel lines. Dealers is looking £90 for the feed and return line, which I thought was quite expensive for two metal lines. However it seems like a hassle to make up your own as the two ends need crimped / flared?. Any help / ad...

Replacememt was new. And it had the old filter on it but with pulling the pump out it wasn't on then so it could have sucked up old dirt. I also read somewhere about a power surge through the alternator or a bad earth. I did have my suspensions about The battery but I didn't Want to waste money chan...

Theres power going to the pump. The pump started gradually losing its healthy buzzing noise and eventually just stopped working. The tank has fuel yes, however the replacememt pump came with no filter.

Ok, so my 318i m40 was refusing to start last few weeks. Diagnoised it to be the fuel pump as there was a faint buzz from the pump. I purchased a non oem replacement last week, it worked great, fitted it to the car and the car started, lasted a few hours and the same thing happened, no power at all ...

the rev counter doesnt really do much, there just is no power at all, its almost as if their is to much fuel and its making her conk out. I am going to test spark tonight. If the fuel pump is working and their is 12v would this mean that the relay is ok? thanks again folks

Thanks guys I will try that, I think I done the resistant test away back last year as well, when I replaced the blue plug. best lsd oil to use and best place to get it?

Hi guys currently doing up a 3.91 LSD. Some people recommended the red line dff fluid to be the best. EBay has it, but quite expensive. Anywhere in the UK do LSD fluid, willing to ship to Northern Ireland. Also does anyone no roughly how much does a medium case diff take 2 ltrs ?. Thanks

wheres the best place to drill Brian ? I had it off last week, having no carb cleaner i used petrol, but couldnt get the case to split. Simply detached it from the TB and poured the fluid through the hole for the shaft.

I have checked for continuity, it flags up 0.4 just after i put the throttle full down. However on the other side, there is no change, when i push the accelerator etc. Also there is no clicking

I am in the middle of cleaning the manifold in my M40, as ive stripped most stuff out, would it be worth taking the injectors out and sending them away to get new filters etc Is there any point wasting the money sending them away, its only a 318i and the fuel economy is awful anyways, in the future ...

Has anyone ever retrofitted a sunroof to a car, I know they have there pros and cons but would be interested in giving it a go. Obviously I don't have the facilities to leave laser cut finish. Does anyone specialise in fitting ones? Much help appreciated.

hi guys, already know as do the rest of us tht the sumps in the e30 is ridicolous low. other than sump guards, ive heard of boys getring the sump raised but it means 1 ltre less of oil. excuse the spelling as am on the phone anyone ever done this mod before?

ok guys still have the unstable idle only when cold. to test the bkue plug i believe u test from the ecu. does the ecu simply unbolt and disconnect the main connection? do u act have to remove to test. also plan to check air leaks under the throttle body. again it just looks to be bolted on. anythin...
