Front light.
Wipers.
Brakes abs warning light.
All tyres (not essential but...)
Welding on front suspension.
Something to do with the suspension arms (sounds like they're f%*cked)
New dash circuitboard.

+ labour of course as I'm useless.

Sell it or keep it? Help

I love my e30 obviously. However, to keep her on the road I'll need to spend about £1200 (to pass the MOT). I'm not sure how much she's worth anymore. What do you reckon? Keep her and spend the money or sell her and try and get a replacement instead? Here's some details about the car: 1988 F Reg B...

I have a similar problem and BMW reckon it's the Crankshaft Sensor.

Crankshaft sensor

Got exactly the same problem. BMW reckon it's the crankshaft sensor. I've ordered one (about Ԛ£40). I'll put it on myself as even a complete mechanical duffus like me can do so apparently. I'll let you know.

Thanks. The batteries should be fine in there so I guess I should assume that it actually does need an inspection.

Next problem

Thanks folks. Got battery, changed battery, all working. However, my service indicator lights now say that I need an inspection... Ԛ•Ԛ Is this just because I changed the battery or is something likely to be broken? Ԛ• Can I get a tool or do anythng to reset the service indicator...

Battery Change - Computer reset

I've got an E30 325i and my battery has died a death.

Went to Halfords to buy another and the guy reckons I can't change it myself as I'd have to reset the computer?

I reckon that sounds like a load of rubbish.

Who's right?

Any help appreciated.
