Andy sorry mate not sure which "protectors" you mean.
I took all the alloy heat sheilds out of the engine bay yet to get them back into place.

Hi Guys Can anyone point me in the right direction here, fitting a m50b28 motor to my touring using the original touring gearbox using e28 engine mounts but its impossible to get the gearbox mounts to sit anywhere near correctly. Has anyone ever tried to disassemble one of these?
I looked on you tube and a bloke says hit behind the ball joint.....
so Ive hit and hit and hit its not moving ....4pound hammer
Any other Ideas

Hi All Ive read through the wiki pages and cant seem to find the answers So I know I need the engine mounts from a e28 on my E30 m52b28 conversion but which mounts do I use for the gear box? I am using the standard getrag gear box from my car which was a 325 touring can I just use the standard mount...

so looks like its more trouble than its worth, going to be remaking all the lines in the future so could possible tidy it a bit that way

Hi Guys
New to BMWs and fitting a M52 to my e30 touring, Ive got the smaller brake servo from a clio.....do I need the abs?? do most people get rid of it for that clean bay look and will it affect the MOT

Im in the process of doing a M52 conversion to my 325 touring.
Im also doing a 5 stud conversion so have the diff all stripped out...... I have 2 diffs
1 is the original from my 325 and one is from a 318ti ( 5 stud conversion)
Question is which diff will be better to useon the m52 conversion?

The cam was worn very badly massive grooves in the lobes....
My thinking is that wear has to have gone somewhere
my aim is to get the rest of the engine out and strip it so I can see what the big ends look like

Have had to take the cyclinder head off on my 325 and have realised that the engine is that badly worn its not worth putting back together So this is my dilema Do I : A rebuild the origional motor { which has already been done once in its life time} B: do i look at fitting a 328 motor C: cut my lose...
