Hi, there is an excellent tutorial on the internet for a DIY fit if your interested. It does seem to take about 6 hours to do so could be expensive.

How to adjust the horseshoe cover so closes properly

Hi, I have now resorted to a manual operated roof after much deliberation. I still have all the motors etc (just disconnected). I heed the horse shoe to close approx another 20mm. Is there an adjustment on this operation?

Cheers,

Hi mate, I bought on from halfords. Got to say well worth the £50 or so I paid. Kept all the winter weather off my cab last year.
Hope this helps.

Re: Scuttle rust issues

Thankyou very much for your reply. Your absolutely spot on with your explanation. It's right in the corner and behind it there is a mastic type sealant. It's easy to chop out and get a plate welded in. Job for winter along with rear arches, lower doors and a new d/s front wing. Then it's bodywork co...

Scuttle rust issues

Hi, just had a small hole appear in the corner of my scuttle right in the corner by the passenger side. What are my options to fix please? No other rust appears on the rest of the panel, just a hole an inch round :(

Help required please gents, I have been approached by someone wanting to buy the cab but I have no idea of value. Roof could do with replacement, arches will need repaired at some point and possibly a lower wing repair. All in all around £1000 to make perfect. How much do you think she is worth? Flu...

Thanks for the comments gents, it does need a little piece of work to make it how I would want it but it's just too good to start stripping down atm. It will be on show in our local classic show in a fortnight so I will post up some photos afterwards.

Don't know why I didn't do this purchase 10 years ago.

Thankyou s38b38, i think I've found a keeper here. It runs very sweet and although it will need improved over winter there is a lot of good years left in her. Drove her today with the roof down for the first time and it was brill, in fact it was the first time I have driven a cab in my life.

Hi, I have now plucked up the courage to press the roof button today on my cab. How very disappointing at was. Totally no movement of said roof. Is there anyone who can point to a few things for me. The motors don't even make a noise.

My cab keeps blowing fuse 17!!!

Hi, I have just managed to get my e30 cab on the road. Now I'm finding that it had a blown fuse in slot 17 (electric windows). I replaced the fuse several days ago and it's blown once again.
Any ideas as to the fault, sorry for scant information.

I will post a few photos soon. I am really chuffed so far. It's always a gamble with a car that's 20odd years old. It only needed a new set of brakes and a sensor for the mot.

First drive in my e30 ;)))))

Well I have just driven the e30 cab for the very first time and must admit I'm really impressed. It is easy to drive, feels very tight for a 23 year old with only 70k on the clock. Can't wait to get the roof sorted for summer. It hasn't sen a road for over 5 years so all is well.
Happy dayz.
