Bullox to her. Tell you insurance company you was driving straight and she pulled out, you swerved to avoid her hence your car was in the hashings. She pulled out and your on the main road End of story. This! If she is going to be a c*nt and not go anywhere other than stealers for a quote, then fuc...

Re: Road traffic Collision with POLICE!

What I would be thinking of here is what the insurance company can see as evidence while looking at the case. You have no photos of the incident, does she? It would probably boil down to a split blame from them, but she has how many witnesses? That are police officers? I wouldn't be suprised if it e...

Re: 1987 325i.. sell or scrap?

Thought as much. No rich afraid I can't weld, the arch bits won't be too bad to get done but the rear stuff would seriously put off anyone buying it. And Jim I'm not sure mate, kind of half looking forward to pulling it apart myself haha! It's easy taking stuff apart as long as I don't have to put i...

Bushes were already done a few hundred miles ago, that rust repair is gonna be a pretty big job, and it's not the only rust so I'm just not sure it's worth the investment!

Re: 1987 325i.. sell or scrap?

So a rather late update on this.. Despite my optimism failed on its MOT on rust in the front near side arch and rear offside arch (near suspension turret) welder I know says he will do it for £100-150 depending how long it takes him. Problem is has also had advisories on both sides of the rear subfr...

Being near a Birmingham is always a bonus when selling a car modified like this :D Sell the council bits plop it up fit some chrome bumpers and enjoy it for a while is my suggestion :teehee: haha you aren't wrong there!! Re: 1987 325i.. sell or scrap?

I'm near Birmingham in redditch. As above this was a kind of advice on what I should do with my turd kinda thread rather than a for sale :p as for 500 quid, surely the donk and the kit are worth that alone! And while yes it is council the work required to put standard bumpers etc due to the fact it'...

Re: Help refitting diff, prop too far out?

Did this this evening, 3/4 of my exhaust bolts sheared though haha, loosened the nut to get the prop back in now, any way to be sure which spline it was inserted into? I'm not 100% and can see no marks that would indicate where it was. Does it need to be back in the exact spline? If its one out for ...

Re: Help refitting diff, prop too far out?

having not seen the centre of the prop i wasn't too sure how it worked, so normally this should be tightened and not move in and out at all?

sounds like this is gonna be a fun exhaust + heatshield off job now i take it

Help refitting diff, prop too far out?

Attempted to put my diff back in today, however the prop when i removed it initially would move in and out by an inch or two, making easier to get it out. Now it seems to be stuck in its furthest out position (the end of the bolts on the end of the prop are further out than the front mounting holes ...

Size of diff bearing nut?

As topic, the one at the end that fits to the propshaft, need to get this sucker off but as its sunk in cant use a spanner, and none of my sockets are quite big enough.
