e36 316i, what needs doing? Like the major stuff? Is it quite an easy swap?

Hi all , ive got an e36 316i that i wanna convert. Want an s54 but for now m50 will do till i get it the way i want as in looks wise.
How hard is it to do the m50 swap? is it straight forward as in ecu swap over and engine swap over with diff fuel pump?

I just swapped my small case for a medium case, ive heard that you need to slack off the middle of the prop to adjust it. The bolts wont line up. Any help will be appreciated

Hi i just need advise, i changed my small case for a medium case but the bolt holes dont line up and ive read that the propshaft needs slacking off. Is that the only way to do it and if so how and where is the part i need to undo? Thanks

I cant weld to save my life, i can cut the head off coz the diff is fooked. i wacked it in but looks like previous person damaged the thread. Ill have to just get it out

Yeh the thread in the hex. If i cut the head off i might wiggle the diff out. But i rather try getting it off the right way

I started today to take the driveshaft off the diff so i can remove the whole diff for a new one. Taken every allen bolt out of the drive shaft then gets to the last one. Its that corroded that its stripped as soon as i tried to turn it. What other way can i go about removing it??? I was close to ju...

The one I pulled was for rear lightsa˜³ top on board computer was showing rear lights need checking and now it's off. Think I sorted the immobiliser issue that's why it started. The fuse I replaced is not major from that fuse board chart.

It's a 25A fuse, will check what number it was. Its running fine but rather look in to it like you say

Installed the m52 in my e30. Was running sweet until yesterday. Its got a slight misfire , i tested the coilpack with other ones ive got and still same issue. Just done m52 swap and car drives spot on. It's got the e36 radiator but no viscous fan. I want to buy a new radiator and electric fan. Can anyone please point me in the right direction as to what to buy and where?! Many thanks

Yeh I'm not happy at all and he won't come sort it. I Had a bad feeling before I took it. Should have listened to my instinct. Too late now. It needs sorting out

Well it didn't want to start when conversion was done due to the immobiliser. But the ecu was unlocked and mapped. Apparently it's the original alarm causing this problem.
