Re: M20B25 into M20B20 swap
What's the cost for doing a swap from B20 to B25, including the all the necessary parts? I'm thinking of looking for a 320 now and then dropping a B25 donk in it.

320 or 325. Is there much difference in performance...
I'm finding it hard to get hold of the dream 325 cabby, and I was wondering if those who have had or have both a 320 and 325 can tell me a bit about the difference in performance. I'm not looking to go out racing, or be leaving piles of rubber at traffic lights, but would like a decent bit of poke w...

Re: Porsche 944 S2
Thanks for the replies guys, it's certainly an interesting motor. There are some high milers about, but others with what might be high in terms of pure number, but low in terms of miles per year. I guess it's like an E30 or any older car, if it's got genuine history then you will be ok. Where about'...

Now I realise it might be swearing to use the word Porsche on here, but I'm wondering what the opinions of those that know 80's classics are on the 944 S2? Does anyone know of someone who has / had one and what they thought. Seems like they are very affordable as an alternative to an better E30, and...

Looks like the plan I had for an E30 has taken a bit of a dive, so I'm back looking again. I'm scouring all the usual places (PH, C&C, Ebay and Gumtree) but if anyone has a 325 they are thinking of parting with, that is mechanically sound and genuinely (almost) free from rust, then please let me kno...

Just out of interest DasChin, where have you see 14-15k M3's recently? I'm not scouring the market for one, but any I've seen advertised seem to start around 18-20k.

Tyres for an E46 318Ci
My Missus has an E46 as per the title and currently has Potenza 225/40/18 90Y on the front and Bridgestone 255/35/18 90Y on the back, but all 4 are running low and need replacing.
I'm looking to spend between £100 to £150 a corner max.
Anyone got any tips on what to replace them with?

I forgot to mention it's a one piece system so it would either have to be done on the car, or alternatively it would all have to be dropped and I don't have a ramp to do that myself. MOT Failure - Exhaust Crack on Weld
Hi Guys, I've just had an exhaust weld crack cause an MOT failure on my wife's E46. I've seen the crack and it's on the weld between the input pipe and the backbox and is about 1 to 2 inches long. I'm thinking that this is a great job for Gun Gum after some advice from some zoners. Do those with exp...

Really appreciate the advice.

Update: It failed the MOT on 3 things, the leaking shocker, "excessive play" in the Control Arm Bushes, and a split in the backbox which is apparently causing the emissions to be too high???? Cheers guys, appreciate the feedback. Sometimes you get the feeling that you are being strung along, but without the expert knowledge it's hard to prove. From the above it looks like I'd be unlucky on the front tyres to fail even though they need a change soon, and as long as the shocker isn't pishi...

I've taken my wife's E46 in today for an oil service, and it also needs an MOT. The rear headrests on a convertible started life exactly the same as the front ones. The reason that they appear shrunken and shrivelled is what twenty years of UV light does . Convertible headrests , along with M3 headrests are not 'piped' whereas as standard E30 ones are. The mounting bracket kit...

Has anyone fitted Rear Head Rests to a Cabby? I'm looking at how you do it and what parts are required, and have read the Wiki page for the touring, but can't find anything specific to a Cabby. I also think that the Rear Head Rests on a Cabby are different to those on a saloon or touring, is this co...
