Can you take seats from 5 or 7 series cars of the era and fit them in an E30 ?

i think i've messed up and bought the wrong one (3.91) . can it be used if the prop shaft is altered or something?

What ratio is the rear differential on a 1988 320i Convertible?

I'm trying to buy one but there are a few varieties of ratios and sizes.

what if the cloud of smoke is white and it's condensation? what is the problem there?

When i start up the car there is an embarrassing cloud of blue smoke but then it goes away after a few revs and never comes back even at high revs. there is a strong smell of petrol in the exhaust fumes too.

what does this mean?

can a normal diff be replaced by a lsd?

I'm finding it hard to source a local diff in perth area but someone has a lsd for Ã‚£120.

I read in the " E30 restoration bible " that a noisy rear diff could be attenuated by sticking roof insulation under the rear seats. Anyone tried this and did it work before I get stuck in and get all itchy from the glass wool?

I have a oil pressure switch leak and managed to get my hands on a replacement e30 1.8 switch. does this work in the 320i ?

I don't want a really fast car and realise that the 320 convertible was never very fast. However, mine does not feel like a 6 cylinder 2 litre injection. Maybe I should put in a new airflow meter? A better exaust? Or should i forget it and accept it's a slow car and upgrade to a 325i?

I had to hacksaw off the old chrome bumper as the bolts had corroded and woundn't budge. i did a decent job but rubbed a bit of paint behind the bumper. I was going to just spray on red hammerite to stop it rusting as it won't be seen when the new bumper is on what do you think? What do you call tha...

I'm going to attempt my first real refurbishment of my 320i Cab this weekend and would like to know if anybody has any tips?

I'm simply going to replace a rusty chrome bumper with a new one but there some hard to work on nuts and bolts apparently.

I've just bought a 1988 320i convertible. Is there a Bentley handbook as it appears to list 318' and several 325i's but no 320i ?
