Just to echo previous comments, the rocks banking needs utmost respect in the wet. One of the problems with it is that the water does tend to collect, especially if they're using the chicane bit at turn 1. I had a 'sketchleys' moment this year in qualifying when I hit a puddle 360'd the car to end u...

I'm running the Ferrodo DS3000's on my Milltek racer, cost me almost exactly Ԛ£100 for the front pair (running standard drums on the rear). Circuit Supplies Tel: 01525 385888 Front pad: SCP303R Ԛ£100.69 Although I changed the pads halfway through the season it was only because I had a warp...

Gearbox models
I need a replacement gearbox for my E30 320i, standard gearbox.
Are the standard gearboxes on 323i the same? Can't seem to work it out from ETK as there's slightly varying part numbers everywhere (no change there then eh!)
Thanks in advance
Dave

Water leak in the footwell is from the cooling matrix. Now's the time to fix it if you're going to bother because its behind the dash and once you put a rollcage in you're gonna have problems getting the dash out. You might be lucky and it'll be just a pipe loose, or alternatively it could be the ma...

A word of advice though, if you're going to the trouble of welding in a decent cage, you might as well change the roof skin at the same time. It's a bit more but it'll be easier to fit the cage & you'll end up with a much neater & more importantly get rid of all that excess weight (above the line) ...

Would that be the Milltek guys? Nope, isn't us. However, most of our cars use them as its our 'standard' rollcage, competitors can use other equivalent ones though *phew* Its definitely official as I have the administrators details here somewhere, however it is in administration so who knows if it ...

Another thing to consider would be the M3 style eccentric bushes which would mean you keep more front tyre in contact with the road at turn-in so reduce understeer I believe.

We mostly use the SD cages in the Milltek (Seloc) series, quality cages although they can be variable fits! One thing to bear in mind is some series have regulations specific to cages above and beyond MSA spec so if you're thinking of racing it, its worth checking the series you might be entering be...

so there are teams with Ԛ£10k cars and Ԛ£20k budgets floating *Splutter* I can't see how anyone could spend 10k-20k on a car in the MIlltek series, its just not possible unless you want a gold gear-knob. The regs are designed deliberately to stop people over-spending. No engine mods No mu...

Goodwoods a nice track. Due to the noise regulations you'll only have 10 cars or so on track at any time which is nice if you're slower (less cars overtaking you). If they offer driver training/intro's take them, being taken round by someone who knows the circuit is a real eye-opener and will give y...

Worth checking out Milltek http://www.millteksport.com They designed a stainless exhaust for the 318's and 320's in the SELOC BMW Challenge for this year, I've only done a couple of days in mine but it feels nice and sounds lovely. Not sure if they have a 325 version yet though but worth a quick loo...
