E30 Zone

Cheers fellas,just seemed a coincidence the smoke started after the battery change although i did change it because of the recent freezing weather. Thought it might be water vapor but just seemed to be more of it than other cars on the road. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks again..

Gear linkage has busted on my 320i, stuck in gear and floppy gearstick. Im no mechanic so gonna get local garage to do it. Is it a big/expensive job and are the parts still readily available. Any info would help, cheers.

Broke down tonight in my 320i. R.A.C bloke says its the gear linkage. Its felt a bit notchy lately and then tonight it got stuck in gear and the gearstick went all loose. Does this sound like linkage? Im a no mechanic so gonna have to pay garage to do work, is it a big/expensive job? Cheers.

I used Auto glym bumper restorer that i found knocking around in my garage on the black plastics,rubbers, door handles and the metal shadowline bits.You dont need much to do the lot and its lasted through the boiling hot days and hammering rain of the past 2 weeks and still looks good.Dunno how much...

Thanks all, not planning on doing anything for a couple of months but theres a few bits to sort. Three or four small paint chips need looking at. The fog lamps and the electric mirrors dont seem to be working and the lcd screen on the computer has bled (can this be fixed?)msport gear knob lights up ...
