Quote for radiator bits please

Cabrio front apron parts
Hi, I need some fixings for the front apron on my 1989 E30 cabrio - it's without chrome bumpers. I need the side fixings and the plastic inserts that take the self-tapping screws, I think the part numbers are: 2 x 51711936999 clamping bolt 2 x 16131176747 plastic nut 5 x 07129925735 body nut Many th...

LinkECU specialist?
Hi, I've bought an Ireland long-stroke engine to drop into my cabrio and have hit a major snag. Work is being done for me by a garage who I trust. It's a modded 325 engine that was meant to be a drop-in replacement for my 320 and came fitted with an after-market Link ECU (Atom II), which is where th...

Re: Everything you need in one place
I've had the car for 20 years and the left-foot braking is so much part of the driving that I didn't want to give it up, plus an auto to manual conversion was just more complexity. The E46 auto box is a delight in sport mode but I was told that it would foul the transmission tunnel in the E30. There...

Re: Everything you need in one place
I'll take a look at messages - haven't been on the forum for years so bear with me. The project stalled five years ago or so due to family illness and I started to look at it again this year. Main issues were my insistence that I wanted to keep the car as an automatic (I taught myself to left-foot b...

Everything you need in one place
Apologies if this isn't the right place to put such a notice. After 10 years of prevarication, I've decided not to go ahead with dropping a M54 into my E30 cabrio so I'll be looking to dispose of the collection of parts that I've built up. Will need to fight my way into the shed for a stocktake, but...

Re: Auto electrician in East Kent?
I'd forgotten about the wiki, thanks for the reminder.
On reflection, I plan to go back to PDQ in Sidcup - it's a long round trip but they've performed miracles on this car before!

Auto electrician in East Kent?
Can anyone recommend an auto electrician near Margate who is willing to tackle the central locking and windows on my 1989 E30?
We're talking possible window motor failures and/or corroded A-post terminals

Re: New M54 engine swap forum.
The autobox from the E46 wont fit, unless you start chopping up the lower corners of the E30 transmission tunnel as it is too narrow in that area, the M20 autobox will be rotated approx 10 degrees when mounted to the M54 engine which is not good either Hi again Dan, Yet more questions! My E30 was a...

Re: E30 parking brake shoes needed
$deity I love E30 Zone, many thanks! A quick web search and it looks like I can easily find these in the UK. Agree about Cotswold - I was desperate to find an exhaust system to get my car back on the road (great sentimental value and had been standing outside for over 3 years) and they were able to ...

Re: E30 parking brake shoes needed
Hi,
That's what I thought I'd done
I've checked on bimmerstock and it looks like the cables and springs etc are available but not the shoes, although a repair kit of new linings seems to be an option - need to check with the garage whether my shoes are salvageable.
Paul

E30 cabrio complete exhaust system needed
Hello, I'm trying to get my 1989 E30 2.0 cabrio (F 335 RKX) back on the road but the garage says that all of the motor factors report the exhaust as no longer available. I need everything - from (but not including) the manifold to the tailpipe including all brackets, mountings and gaskets. I've been...

Re: New M54 engine swap forum.
Hello everyone, Back on the forum after a break of a few years - life, or rather death, got in the way as they say. I have been looking into an engine swap for my 1989 320 cabrio for a long time now. Have sourced all the conversion parts (thanks Dan) and even an original air-con unit. I had bought a...

Engine builder needed in Kent
Hi,
I'm looking for someone who can be trusted to do a proper job of rebuilding a M52 engine for me.
Anyone got a recommendation, preferably in Kent.
Thanks,
Paul (RickX owner)

Re: Anyone Fitted a Z3 Rack before?
You need to fit taller/stiffer engine mounts if your using standard exhausts, no amount of grinding/hammering will do any good. Obviously the best solution is to re-route the direction of the front pipe I'm looking to fit an E46 rack, so I assume that the same issue applies. Can you specify which e...
