I hope its not an air leak, we have hunted and hunted for an air leak, had all the vaccume and inlet pipes off, easy start round any joints on the inlet etc. Its just either the tps or one of the parts we swapped by sheer pain in the arse being as buggerd as the original. even compression tested it ...

Sorry forgot about that, did the ecu reset, thought about injectors too but had a second set that make it run exactly the same? Also changed the blue fuel temp sensor as had a brand new one in the garage As far as im aware nothing has been fiddled with as its my old engine and i bought the car off o...

This is for a friend, he has an 1989 m20b20 engine and its idle is a bit lumpy (v8 like) and almost cuts out when you try to rev just for a second then revs up ok. if you hold the throttle about 1mm open it tries to cut out? Its still here at the mo, im going out to get an e36 325i at the weekend for a daily and will save pennies for a e30 cab in a few months or so. im going to put the moredoor at my mums place and take it to pieces. The wheels have been sold for £200 8O to a bloke with a kit car. Where abouts you from...

ps will be putting the good bits for sale on here when i have time like the headlights, uncracked dash, springs, battery to boot convertion, lsd, etc etc. I also have a load of bits i never put on because i knew it would not last much longer.

Trouble is i havent got the time to do it, everything apart from the rear subframe bushes i could scrape to do. Also what can i do about the rear springs? dont all lowering springs rattle around a bit when jacked up? It may not be worth saving as it need rear arches doing and is a basic model. I may...

I wouldn't have the patience to do it, pay someone else to do it instead :) It's when you attempt this sort of thing and even just sand down half a wheel or polish a rim, never mind finishing a whole wheel and end up with an "ok" finish , that paying someone 50 or 60 per wheel for a proper finish, ...

I didnt get that good a finish :(

it took me an age to polish the fake center nut aswell, and i need to find the original center badges and they are hard to find.

Good lads at the Italian garage, they let me used it after i had cleaned it and refilled it with fluid, took me 25 mins to do the ball joint and lolly pop bush, however when i got home the lolly pop had worked its way off 2 mm so got inventive with a jack and a landrover :mad: Thats everything done ...

Smellit - it looks like scrap in the pic - and pics usually make a car look better than it really is..! Agreed, but this was when we first got it back and it had been sat for a while in a garage and is the only shot i have at the mo. It needs alot of thing like front lip bumpers sorting out interio...
