Re: Cruise control retrofit question

I hope this works but this is a photo of my accessory socket with what I believe to be nothing in R and S.

Can I use the anywhere to tap into?
Thanks

Re: Complete loss of power

Ok, feel like a complete idiot! Looks like one of the connections on the battery was loose. Not to self, always tighten up!

Re: Complete loss of power

Manual. I took the instrument cluster at the weekend to add a fog light bulb. Could this affect anything?

Complete loss of power

I am in desperate need of some help. Drove into work this morning and the car completely died. No power to anything. There is no noise from the ignition switch when I turn it.
Battery has power and fuses look ok. Where can I start?

Thanks in advance
Tom

Retrofitting OBC. Grommet question

Hi guys, spent most of yesterday putting in the OBC which I bought a couple of years ago. Couldn't manage to get the wires through the existing bulkhead grommet so at the moment the grommet isn't completely sealing the gap and the wires are running in that gap. What's the best way to route the wires...

Re: Cam belt broken

Hi Brian, thanks for the quick reply. I checked for a spark by. Taking one of the HT leads off and putting a spark plug on the end. I have the M40 engine with about 86k on the clock. I will have a read of the excellent wiki on here to see if there is anything about swapping the head. I must say that...

Sticking Rev Counter

Hi Guys,

Have just bought a 318i cab from 1993 and notice that the rev counter has started to stick in the instument display?? The engine is fine. Anyone know if this is a common fault and how to fix it?

Thanks
Tom
