Wow - somebody still reading this thread after all this time! Sadly the E30 is long gone, replaced by an E36 M3 - AND I'M STILL TRYING TO SELL THE SUB/AMP ETC AS ABOVE! Any reasonable offer, etc etc.

I agonised over all this stuff for ages, and just got confused, then found out a guy I worked with made custom boxes etc, so got this made up. Good compromise between depth of bass and not going totally over the top IMHO - then I bought an E36!

I've defected to the world of E36 M3's now, not long after I had a local guy build me a 12Ã¢â‚¬a sub (I think) and amp into a nice big box covered in dark grey carpet, which slots in behind the rear seat in the boot, and stretches the full width of the boot.
