Brakes

Evening all.
Me and a pal are building a couple of track cars m50 turbo e30's and are thinking about brakes.

Would really appreciate some feedback on success you boys have had I'm sure there must be a brake upgrade from the scrap yard bits from this bits from that.

hey all some of you know i have been doing the m50 transplant for a friend and were almost done. putting things back together now and we have no lecy windows. i had to hot wire them as i needed the car outside for a few days. i have read a few threads on here saying earthing a sert wire on the loom....

E30 suspension upgrade thought

building an e30 for pel on this forum have completed the m50 conversion. and runs nice. i want to advise him to upgrade his suspension. i was originaly thinking coil over kit. how ever as i have a good source of car parts im thinking, is any one doing say e36 m3 upgrade does it fit? is it worth it?....

Right i`ve got 5 mins so for future refrence a bit of a better update During pels trip i managed to... prop e36 325 front section 328 auto rear section new e30 center bearing and mount fitted backwards(unsure on balance we`ll see) tidy`d wiring all uneeded e30 wire removed, M50 loom individualy sold...

Tondeur your a legend. I know mate lol. Sorry i can`t help myself mate you know that. never have never will be able to leave motors alone. And you are most welcome. we really need to get that brake servo now. once we have that ill fab up a manifold by the time thats done ill have the turbo rebuilt....

Yet another morning no sleepy so i trotted off down the garage again with a brew.
Mount cut out and air box in steering all back togethe,
just need a prop brake servo and manifold.

until these are sourced i don`t think there is anything else i can do! :(

IT`S ALIVE!!! Last night pel came round and we did the wiring coolent hoses and a bit of tinkering. would turn over lovely and fire on easy start but no go. multi meter came out and no live to the fuel pump! bridged the fuel pump relay and got squirted in the face with fuel. still no go everything ...

Thanks guys I will have another look this afternoon. Very strange with the fuel pump not a connection issue as if I take the fuel pump relay and bridge the main 12v feed to the purple and green the pump buzzes up so what ever feed the switch on the relay clearly isn't or of corse the relay is capoot...

could`nt agree more about sourcing all parts first its a big lump to be imobile.
Depending on your mechanicle ability i would allow 3-5 full days unless you have a full workshop with 2 post ramp ect in which case 2 days is optamistic but doable on a first go.
