Can I use a saloon 325i as a donor car to put in my 318i coupe? Any differences?

Really want to get my e30 low but can't stretch to getting an expensive set of coilovers.

Any other suggestion? Looked at the cheaper kits but can only find ones for 51mm struts?!

Want to put the car on coilovers and have seen the cheap kits on eBay. Anyone tried these as I am concerned about the fronts as I didn't think that you could separate the hub and shocker? Do they still work like a standard coilover? (kit comes with replacement shockers to insert into hubs)

Thanks for the info, had the car since feb where I found the thermostat was stuck open! Replaced this and did the cambelt and found the rocker cover was caked in sludged oil due to the engine constantly running cold but didn't think to check the lobes! After some help here. Got an 89 318i that is really tappety! Also have a 91 316i and wondered whether I could use the tappets out of that one as its no longer on the road anymore? If not are they still available and how much are they new?
