There has been an article on this issue in one (or more) of the monthly car mags. I think one of the car programs may have done a feature as well (? fifth gear). From memory - their rolling roll power calculations on various fuels (Shell Optimax / BP Ultimate) showned little or no improvement in pow...

Mtec 1 (?) or Alpina bodykit for a Touring - pictures needed
Hi, I hope someone on the zone can help with this one - I would like to see some pictures of tourings with the Alpina bodykit (or was it MTec 1 kit??) If I recall correctly, someone (?) either has, or posted a picture of a red Alpina touring at some point. Might of been at one of the shows? Can anyo...

Alpina C2.5 manual = 240-260 miles on 50L(22-23mpg). Depends on the type of driving and duration etc, but that's a longterm average on plenty of mixed driving. 325i Auto = 220-240 miles on roughly 50L, doing the same sort of driving. Both cars can manage 26-28 mpg at reasonable motorway speeds, anyt...

Security - what do you recommend?
Need advice - my car has had no security fitted to it since new! Its definately a 'virgin' with respect to alarms etc. Since I don't trust that this luck will continue, what do I fit that will keep off the local scum and not mess the car up too much??? If anyone knows or can recommended someone in t...

Looks nice! What sort of interior does yours have? On a different note, we'll have to try and meet up sometime, have a North East E30 chat/beer! Had a major computer mishap and I've lost your contact details (e-mail / mobile number). Please feel free to pm me if you want to meet up when the weather ...

Not only the original stereo - but no alarm system!!! (recommendations welcome!). As for build plaque - C2.5 were (from my knowledge) generally built in the UK from the options list and didn't have build numbers allocated to them. This car was one of John Clarks BMW (Aberdeen) demo cars. WLN Automot...

The car was on Ebay June last year - so you've got a good memory mate! (or the car made a lasting impression?). Obviously I think its gorgeous - but it still has room for improvement - such as leather retrim / tubular manifold / and yet another stainless steel exhaust. As for its history and authent...

There's every chance that you have seen it going across Newport Bridge - I was using it daily until just before christmas, so it went across the bridge twice a day! I especially enjoy the return journey, because I can really use plenty of throttle after the 30mph zone! Mainly use the blue E30 auto t...

I have both a manual touring and one with the EH switchable auto. For the real driving experience, and certainly to get the most enjoyment out of the car, its the manual everytime! But in traffic and commuting to and from work - the auto is far better. Plus the gearing is better suited for motorway ...

White Tourings with MTech 2 kit..........
Hi, I'm trying to decide whether to fit my white touring with MTech 2 kit. Whilst I think the kit looks great on just about every other colour touring that I've seen, not seen many white ones! Can anyone help by posting pics on this thread???
Cheers!
Cheers!

Thanks to all fellow zoners for their advice and expertise - as always its much appreciated! same with mine - no overheating, I just noticed a significant drop in the coolant level. Since I'm not using the car over the winter (white car, salt roads, and my C2.5 don't mix!), I'll just add it to the list of things that I wanted to get sorted by the summer - it just pains me that the cost that...

Cheers gcorky - I'll get in touch with them. I just hope that it doesn't cost me both my arms and legs! The general feeling seems that the cost ranges from cԚ£500 to Ԛ£1000+ (Gulp!). I guess it depends on how much work is required - since its seems a big job, I might get a general referb t...
