buy the alpina head unit with the ipod unit attached. allows u to change track on the pod with the stereo and charges it at the same time.

its a bmw lump but it is in a range rover. hope someone can help. came in boiling on a sat eve on a bank hol weekend at half 2!! thought i might get lucky and took out the thermostat, but no joy. 130000 miles on the clock and its a 97. was told the impelor can shear off the water pump... do the head...

you dont actually need to drop the sub frame. i took out the bolts on th p/s and just loosened the ones on the d/s. jacked up the engine til it touched the bulk head and out it came.
prob be a good idea to fit a sump gaurd or re inforce the sump when u is fixing it

surely you are going use laquer. doesnt matter if its metalic or not, with a good coat of lacquer u will always get a better finish even if it has to be colour sanded after plus un lacquered paint tends to fade... maybe i'm wrong but i think all cars are lacquered now.. :roll:

i work on commercials all the time and if it is too late to get one form the importers for the next day that is what we do..
try agricultural machinery supplier, they normally have good reference books. i take it u have tried bmw for the part??

just get the measurements and you should be able to get a joint. never really had much of a look at the joints but if it anything like every other harvey spicer i have evr done u need 2 measurements. the cup size and the distance from the two cup tops when in the joint.. ie how wide the whole assemb...

my 325 was as quiet until i put in my new h and rs. then thw top mounts started complainig. dont know if it was the disturbiing of them or the difffernt tension of the springs or height changes but once i added new top mpunts all was well,
would also check the drop links as was already mentioned...

on the front i doubt removing it would cause any prob, but it prob is designed to catch extra air and pull it in towards the brakes as well as keepin dust in and water out..

it shouldn't have any real effect on the cooling system as such. if the two pipes are just linked and you can be sure there is no airlock now in the system, and you still have over heating problems u will have to look else where. is your rad gettin hot all over or is there cold spots. it could be th...

when diffin mine it used to stink of petrol but only on anti-clockwise hoops. tryed my spare petrol cap but didn't solve it and the rubber looked alright on the underside of the cap. took the rubber of one and put the two rubbers on one cap. tight to get on but no more leakies... 8)

is it the same sump?? if not the pickup could be against the base. I assume you didn't put too much gasket sealer on have it squeez out and get sucked up into the pick up. If not it could be airlocked. remove the oil light switch and with a squirt oil can pump oil down into the hole. only a thought ...

is the fuel pump for a (90) 325 sport in the tank. was under the impression it was.
mate asked me had i a pump.
i have a pre face lift 325i broken.. lifted the seat but it doesn't look like there is a pump there..
