Re: Radiator problem.
Also failed to mention if I squeeze the top rad pipe I can hear air being either pushed into the expansions tank or out the cap. If I put my hear on the cap it's quite prominent. Again maybe it's just fluid from in from the top.

Re: Radiator problem.
As said the rad is brand new the coolant and trickle of steam is 100% from the cap. I even removed the plastic plate from the top so I could see the bottom of the bleed screw and cap.

No I had it running for an hour and the level beryl moved. Last night it seemed to be just a tiny bit of steam that I could only see with a torch. But when I drive I do get a tiny leak.

Radiator problem.
Hi guys had a quick search and didn't come across any answer which suited my dilemma. I recently bought a new 91 316i m40 and it's a great little motor except I noticed the temp gauge was stuck at quarter and upon pulling the thermostat I soon realised it was A: stuck open and B: 77c instead of 88c....

Re: M20b23 l-jet to motronic 1.3
Mmm would it be possible to use a b25 ecu with a reprogrammed EPROM ? Is this something that is readily available?
I don't want to spend much money on the doing the conversions or it would be easier to drop a b25 in.

No Tesco or mc Donald's car parks for me tracks only.
Am I likely to see any benefits from a 88 degrees thermostat as apposed to the 80 degree one I have ? ( just check ecp part number and it is a 80 degree one I have)

what year is the car?
could be the air slider valve under the inlet manifold sticking.
take it off and blow threw it make sure it fine, also check for something simply like sticking throttle cable.

Re: Missing mystery valve in M20B23 vacuum line..
Mine is a 1985 316 with a 2.3 conversions which the engine came from a 1985 323.
Also if you have one check the cold start injector on the back of the inlet manifold it could be staying on when worm or be leaking.
I know early 323's have one but mine doesn't.

Hi all I've been after installing the eccentric weld on adjuster onto my rear subframe but have not yet found a uk site who sells the slotted bracket?
And most American sites want $60 to post which is stupid.
Anybody got any ideas of where to buy in the uk ?
