Re: E30 Touring deadlocks - can't open car!
That's very interesting, Brian. Funny thing is,there's no water inside that area, just in the control module itself. It actually looks like mud when I opened up the module. I've owned this car from new and it has only recently had some bodywork done but has never had any repairs underneath. I will h...

Re: E30 Touring deadlocks - can't open car!
I posted a full report earlier but it has not appeared on the forum. Strange. This response is shorter than my original. What really happened as much more complex. I got in the car, removed door card and eventually released the lock. The licking module in the footwell behind speaker was soaking wet,...

Re: E30 Touring deadlocks - can't open car!
I have all the keys for the car. This is the master key and it will turn in the tailgate through 90 degrees but not further which is how it would unlock the car when the system isn't deadlocked. The driver's door lock will not move past the vertical clockwise to unlock the deadlocks, no matter how m...

Re: E30 Touring deadlocks - can't open car!
Brian, I've just tried that. The deadlock is engaged and I can't turn the key to the right to disengage. Any ideas? Thanks.

E30 Touring deadlocks - can't open car!
Help! My 325i Touring is locked with the deadlocks. I have usually been only locking from the passenger side as the deadlock on the driver's side has been unreliable since the car came back from the bodyshop. I must have forgotten the last time and locked from the driver's side and the deadlock is O...

Anyone help me on this? Pictures of pipework underneath washer nozzles would be helpful. Thanks.

Re: where are all my lights ?.?
Have you tried the rear light check relay situated in the boot (left hand side of a touring)?

Re: Noisy fuel pump
Thanks for your reply. The in tank mesh filter when fitted to the aftermarket pump, did seem to sit on or near to the bottom of the tank. The new pump didn't have a filter and they were not available, so I adapted the original filter off the Bosch one. Could this be the problem? What could I do? Rem...

Noisy fuel pump
I fitted a new aftermarket in tank fuel pump to my 1989 325i and the car has also had new fuel lines & filter. The new pump is very noisy, sort of buzzing sound, but the car drives well. Are aftermarket pumps more noisy than the Bosch originals? (I couldn't hear the old one). Could the new pump be f...

Intensive wash - pipe routing for windscreen washers
I hope someone might be able to help. My e30 touring has been in the bodyshop and returned with the pipes for the intensive wash system routed incorrectly and several valves and pieces of pipe left in a box. They didn't know how to refit the system having had the car 2 years..... Anyway, can anyone ...
