Stare into the boot compartment and get a mate to open the sunroof and pour a jug of water into the sunroof dranage hole making sure not to coat the interior in water. Mine is leaking from the connector that connects into the condenser thingy ma bob that has that flap jobby.

Meticulously cleaned intake parts
AFM set at 1%
Replaced intake manifold gaskets

Cant think what else could be the problem, so I am going to check values on components this weekend, make sure they are all in line.

Yeah, what it was, was the bearings in the starter motor had perished with dirt or something and were pretty loose. Bought a new motor and sorted it out.

Don't these have an AFM, and not a MAF? How did they go about 'tuning' it, exactly? Yeah AFM sorry, they hooked it up to a gas analyser and used the mixture screw until it read something like 1%.
