Re: Scum bags (with upsetting images)
(Apologies for the six years lurking before posting!) This was my beloved cab, until some waste of space decided a few days ago, that it would be fun to steal it, and then to set it on fire. It was in immaculate condition, low mileage and this has really :cens: me off and upset the whole family. It...

Re: I know E30's drink petrol but this takes the pish
No smoking either! :o Aha I put a notice on the car saying 'no smoking fuel leak!' Got it home, fuel filter has been split and opened up and the pipe from the tank to the filter has been ripped off then a dent on the tank, so I think a rock or something has kicked up on the tyre or something but I ...

Re: I know E30's drink petrol but this takes the pish
Fuel tanks are 55 and 63 litres capacity, so quarter of a tank is 15 litres max. To start, get on your knees by the rear drivers wheel and look at the stub pipe, the rubber hose that comes off it and the metal filler section. If that all seems good, get to the other side and find the hoses for the ...

Re: I know E30's drink petrol but this takes the pish
Good news is that if it came out at that speed, there's a chance that there's still fuel in one half. No orifices into the tank that are low enough down to drain a quarter tank, except the drain plug, and I've never seen rust in the lower half. Unless this is one of those ridiculous 'stanced' cars,...

Re: I know E30's drink petrol but this takes the pish
Shocking! To get the fuel glugging out at that rate, you must have snapped off the stub pipe! IT' be a hell of a hole to let 15 litres out at that sort of speed. I know, it's still down there. I'll have to collect it tonight, I thought it might be the stub pipe. But how it gushed out in that amount...

I know E30's drink petrol but this takes the pish
Driving along merrily suddenly there is a very heavy smell of fuel and that quarter of a tank I had, is drained onto tarmac in at least 10 seconds. I just watched the fuel gauge light come on very smugly. Rolled it to the side of the road and seen the remains of my £20 worth of fuel snaking up to th...

Only experience with touring's so: 1: The height between the floor and the roof is too small. trying to fit something relativity tall is nigh on impossible 2: Rusty tailgate slapped on a well rust protected car. 3: Back doors are tiny making people look awkward getting out. getting children out is w...

Stare into the boot compartment and get a mate to open the sunroof and pour a jug of water into the sunroof dranage hole making sure not to coat the interior in water. Mine is leaking from the connector that connects into the condenser thingy ma bob that has that flap jobby.

I smoked an Triumph 2000 once
I really want a big fook off turbo'd e30 and keep the car as a sleeper with a 316i badge on the back and single mild steel exhaust. Be funny watching the 206 spinning its wheels with a couple of pikeys thinking there the boy, smiles drop. Ah I can only dream!

Reversing out in a tight spot, I put my rear window wipers on. Noticed I pressed the rear wash wipe by accedent but nothing came out, had a check why and there was no washer jet. Did BMW put all the washer bottle and electrics in only not to put a bit of pipe and a washer jet in? Wondering now if I ...

I am 18 with two years driving experience/no claims bonus. Started on a Multi-car policy with Admiral, very friendly service and with a Ford Fiesta, Lancia Beta, Land Rover Defender and the BMW 318i; it made the insurance on the BMW at around £1600. Replaced pipes
Meticulously cleaned intake parts
AFM set at 1%
Replaced intake manifold gaskets
Cant think what else could be the problem, so I am going to check values on components this weekend, make sure they are all in line.

Power steering woes
I think paranoia has set in. :D Driving my 318i Touring, the steering is unnaturally light and gets quite scary to drive fast on country roads because it's hard to point it were I want to because of the lightness. Could say it's quite vague also. Not changed the power-steering fluid but had a poke a...

Yeah, what it was, was the bearings in the starter motor had perished with dirt or something and were pretty loose. Bought a new motor and sorted it out.kman82 wrote:Did you ever have any luck sorting this mate?
