Re: Identifying a real Schnitzer

So i got the car anyway as it was a steal! Still unsure wether its genuine, all the kit and mirrors seem to have the little indents with stickers on. Also i believe it said 523 on the log book. I took a few pictures before it got dark. http://i62.tinypic.com/w2lj0i.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/1413a78...

Identifying a real Schnitzer

Hi guys today I'm looking at a 2.5 AC schnitzer e39, the owner seems pretty confident it's a genuine as he claims to of spent near enough 10k a few of years ago for it however he dosent seem that knowledgeable about the car which gives me my doubts. I heard that real schnitzers have a sticker on the...

Re: Buying poly bushes, help needed !

No im not tracking the car, and to be fair I don't really drive the car hard, I plan on taking it to santa pod in September but that's about it. I've heard poly bushing isn't worth it for every day driving as it compromises the comfort of the car but if you have seen any pictures of my 30 its pretty...

Buying poly bushes, help needed !

Hi guys, apologies if this has already been covered but couldn't see anything via the search feature. Basically the entire front end of my e30 needs its bushings replaced, and as I tear through rubber ones I decided to get some poly bushes, now I've come across a couple of small obstacles. First off...

From my previous experience its not hard to get points on your license. I once got a PC20 'Contravention of Pedestrian Crossing Regulations with moving vehicle'. Your welcome mate, and if your thinking about getting new struts/ springs take a quick look at my photo gallery thread and you'll get an idea on how low it sits on proper springs and 51mm struts. I personaly think mine is sitting a little to high but you can get e90 top spring perches that lower the...

Okay yeah just tried that supafly, got 6 - 7 sheets of a4, rolled it up, placed the end of it against the fan and with a small amount of force the fan came to a stop. Is this whats causing the car to overheat? How!?

Re: New HID problems, flickering/not working

To me it seems like the thermostat is okay, i checked the haynes manual and it says "If the engine runs hot, use your hand to check the temperature of the upper radiator hose. If the hose isn’t hot, but the engine is, the thermostat is probably stuck closed," So i let the engine got hot, checked the...

Yeah i did forgot to mention its like 3 - 4 degrees overe here in sussex, ill try bleeding the radiator and replacing the thermostat and see if that has helped. What is the thermostats purpose? Is it there to regulate the heat, controlling other parts depending on the temperature?

Re: New HID problems, flickering/not working

Okay i hooked the hid to the battery and the bulb did not light up. I can understand that this indicates that its a HID issue however why did the exact same thing happen with my previous set and why is the brand new set doing the same? The wiring seems fine as its lighting up a normal halogen bulb, ...

Car's electricity keeps cutting out.

Okay this may be a dumb question, but basicaly i was driving my car last night when i noticed the car's electricity would suddenly disapear whilst cruising at 30mph. 7 years wow! I use my car for work which involves alot of stopping and starting of the engine, i've heard that turning HID's on and of constantly can shorten their life.
