Hard to say without more information but sounds like an air leak,or airmass sensor out of kilter,once the engine is warmer it 'breathes' easier,does it continue to run rough once warm?To check for air leak use some wd40 or brake cleaner aerosol,spray under manifold,around pipes etc,if engine speeds ...
