Re: sun roof leaking
The sunroof rubber only prevents lots of water ingress, it is not a waterproof seal.
Water will get past it, caught in the tray, and hopefully flow out the run off tubes located in each corner of the tray.
Trays rot, corner tubes get blocked or crack an leak, it will need looking at ASAP...

Re: getting garage at home spruced up for the arrivial of my
The "fluffy insulation", is very itchy insulation, Rockwool / Fibre Glass...if you cannot access above the rafters after it is boarded, you'll need to insulate first, vapour barier, then board it. If it is a pitched roof, make a "loft openening", for storage. You can then vapour barrier from below, ...

Re: getting garage at home spruced up for the arrivial of my
Plasterboard will absorb moisture from the air, especially if the garage does not have central heating. If it were my garage, i'd vapour barrier the ceiling (plastic sheeting tacked to underside of rafters), 8x4 sheets of 4mm ply, you might want to then stick some roof insulation in between the jois...

Put a nut over the broken stud, (even when it's flush with the head) weld up the inner of the nut to the top of the broken stud, and then just fit a spanner and unwind... Re: Squeeky wheel
There's a short thread here, about an e36.. http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f17/1998-e36-318is-squeaky-steering-wheel-easy-fix-t8378/ I think 75mm up is not enough on an E30, mine was more like 150mm up from the bottom of the column. It's best to drill in from the side, and allows easy applicati...

Re: Squeeky wheel
You need to get oil to the lower bearing on the column..spraying WD40 upwards is no good, it will not penetrate, and gravity will see it drip off. I suffered for ages with a really harsh and squeeky lower bearing, I looked around the web, and came across the above method. Drilling a small hole in th...

Has the plastic rivet got a solid plastic centre..? if it has, push the centre all the way through, you should then be able to prise the rivet out.
