had a similar problem myself i am afraid i cannot give acurate details but i remember having to access the speaker area drivers side front and there was something in there that needed shorting out and the central locking spang back into action... sorry to be so vague i just hope that i may trigger s...

its seems to be constant, it will not move till approx 20mph then will sit at approx 20mph slower than the car is moving....

i have had a look at the cluster and the needle is very light and moves freely so i thought that it was controlled by magnets ??? or am i completely wrong?......
