11th april is the next meet.
Venue owner is a diamond of a guy, sorting the lights out for us incase we're there after dark and will do food all night if anyone wants anything.
All welcome, it'd be nice to meet a few E30 owners since I'm getting into the scene myself.

Re: New meet in North West.
Do you have a 318is by any chance?
If so I believe you know my mate Joe.
Good few people have joined up so fingers crossed it'll be a busy first meet! Handy to have someone local to help suggest locations for after hours playtime too.

New meet in North West.
Hi guys, just a quick post to spread the word. New meet planned for the North West. Will be a regular thing every two weeks, 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, with some play time afterwards elsewhere to keep the meet sensible and legal. Everyone is welcome, doesn't matter what you drive, so if you...

Re: how much would a zoner charge
e46 330 cab are brilliant cars to drive roof up or down, sure they're not as good as the coupe etc but that doesn't mean they don't deserve a good engine. I'm a massive petrol head, that shouldn't mean i can't enjoy having the top down too, or do you mean if i want to drive a cab then i should have ...

Re: 5 stud conversion
is there an easy link to bits needed for a 5 stud conversion?
Or is it as simple as getting new hubs and arms and bolting them on?

Re: how much would a zoner charge
If it were a race car i wouldn't suggest starting with a cab, but a decent engine in a decent daily driver sounds ideal to me. Though i did change my mind on building a turbo engine for a mk4 escort cab, purely because it doesnt need lots of power. Instead i opted for bodies as it'll sound better, f...

Re: bmw show santa pod
I was considering not going to this, havent been to any BMW shows yet but keen to see what the scene feels like. Also hoping to see plenty of E30's and possibly a couple turbo'd for inspiration. Weather forecast looks grim and my mate might have to work but i may still pop down solo after seeing a f...

you could also try www.dabonwheels.co.uk
They have a few options for both regular and DAB aerials you can hide anywhere.

Re: loud noises coming for the rear of the car? - e30 325i s
Jack the back end up if you can, and turn one wheel, if it does the crunch noise i'd imagine diff bearings. Not sure how the diff's on these are put together but it's common on freelanders on rear diff. they make the noises you describe and eventually feel like they're grabbing the wheels the tighte...

Does sound like diff problem. does it sound a bit like it's crunching the more lock you have on but fine in a straight line?

Piston/Rod/Crank Combo's
Have done various searches for hours looking for answer to my question, on here and Google. I'm just curious at the moment and doing a bit of research before i buy the car/bits. I've read that obviously the M52B28 bottom end will fit into the M50B25 iron block complete, and that for non turbo you ca...

Re: m50 turbo? cheapest route
I intend to dive into the deep end with my E30 once i've finished my mk4 escort project. Will be looking for a 325i sport as an ideal base. Running it as it is for a bit while i collect all the parts needed to swap to M50B25, same as in the mag which must be fate with it being in this month as i've ...

Re: m50 arp main studs
Haven't experience with them but i'd give ARP a ring and double check what you've got against what you should have, i'd expect the thread to protrude from the nut at least a couple mm's for peace of mind.

Re: m50 turbo? cheapest route
I think you misread, he was asking about M50 turbo. The article in PBMW this month had e30 cab with M50B25 turbo, engine totally standard internally except ARP head bolts and ringed headgasket. Running 440ish bhp. From that i'd assume its safe to say that 350bhp should be fine with decent headgasket...
