Re:
Yeah it bites arse honestly. But when i think about it, theres a high chance that as far as they know, its a C2 2.7- and some later owner has changed/ replaced/ fixed the engine!

It was specified new with LSD and Sport seats like a C2, and has all suspension, trim, gauges, ecu, headers and black top of...

Identifying a 2.7 engine?
Hi everyone, i have an alpina c2 2.7 (genuine) The damn engine doesnt have an engine number!! where it should be is just blank, not ground off or dirty, its just clean metal. The safety tag attached to the sump is still there, (these are put there to prevent grinding the number off) The engine has a...

i can now see that it does NOT have a stamped engine number anywhere. the place where it should be (just aft of the port side engine mount) has the flat surface there, no signs of a ground- off number, and also the tag from the sump is still attached, so the number cannot have been taken off..... a ...

Bit of an update again- took the ECU apart and part of the printed circuit board was fried. got that fixed for $35 same day, and now the ICV is working fine, but the car is idling too low! every now and then it dies, but i put this down to the fact that its simply too hard to maintaon a low idle!! d...

Re: Idle fun
So the ICV is working fine on my mates car, the relays beside the air flow meter are fine also. what i now remember, is that yesterday (once the engine was warm, so that would explain not noticing the ICV stop) I reset the service lights with a paper clip (read: UNFUSED WIRE) and probably had it on ...

Thanks guys!! i would never have thought that crud would have gotten down into the TPS! And also i now see that my ICV is fine, and VERY clean haha. The car was imported in '96 from the UK (obviously) and there is NO service book. ie. this car has not been someones prized possesion, just an old e30 to the previous owner! Alpina C2 2.7
Here is my newest find, supposed to be a 1986 Sytner Alpina C2 2.7. It has all the bits, minus the optional front lip, and it has had a BBS spoiler replace the original lip at some stage.... The original order sheet shows that it was ordered as most Sytner C2's were- with LSD, sport seats, ALL optio...
