Re: Radiator upgrade on e30 M3
yes. where the top hose goes over. theo it ran fine for a while then failed. you would have thought it would have cracked straight away if over tightened? it was the original rad and known to be a weak spot as spoke to a few other m3 owners. am going for a decent alloy rad instead which comes with a...

Re: Radiator upgrade on e30 M3
Harry I have had an issue with my one. its a Behr OEM one and the plastic has sheared in the middle of the top end bit where you attach the top water hose to the rad. not sure how old it is but I need a new one. have wondered if an alloy one would be better to prevent this in the future as the heat ...

Re: Does this look like the same wheel?
i am sure those wheels in the original ad were in that condition once but what you have been are wildly different. all four are kerbed for starters. could get messy but go through PayPal rather than on here. Its their judgement that counts. your seller appears to be 'up for it' so good luck with that.

Re: Recomendations for new discs and pads for an M3?
I would probably recommend spending a few more pounds on yr brakes than that to handle 300 bhp.
i had 300mm discs, 4 pots and expensive hawk pads on my old track car which had 300 bhp from an s50 3 litre.
like tyres, brakes are hugely important so scrimping is not an option...

OEM size ARB for M3 v other thicker ones
hi all
does anyone know the size of the normal ARB thickness for the e30 M3 non evo? front and rear?
I have been told you can use ARBs from a 325 sport or the convertible to slightly uprate the thickness as opposed to going H&R or other aftermarket.
is this true?
thanks, Nick

hi all are the ARBs on the e30 M3 the same as all the e30s? seen some ARBs on here for sale (22mm and 16mm front/rear) and look like they will be ideal. they all appear to be the same but just wanted to check. here is the list to the for sale piece: http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name=Forums&fil...

I have some of these on my m3.
am I right in saying these were found originally on the E38 7er (740) and are basketweave style wheels.
anyone know where I can get another set from?
I bought them from a guy called David on here who lived down Camberley way.
thanks, Nick

Re: Will this steering wheel fit an E30?
idiot and liar. defo wont' fit. see the pic of the back of it to prove your point..... E30s have a distinct fitting on the back which is very different to an e36. its a full round diameter with teeth all round it. like this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M-Tech-leather-steering-wheel-385mm-e34-e...

Re:
Pete has my old car and I would be a lot quicker than E36 M3s on smaller and twisty circuits like brands indy or Cadwell park. E36 has longer wheelbase so more stable and less twitchy on a big power circuit like goodwood, Silverstone or the Ring. Pete's car now would need a well sorted e36 m3 track ...

Re: M3 brake upgrade
Gary have you tried updating the pads and fluids as well as stainless steel hoses? i would be tempted to keep it as is with a sport evo if you are going to go 4 pots then wildwoods are pretty good or WMS. are you changing the discs as well? You could go to 305 or 310 on the 16s depending on caliper....

jesus that is mental at 6 figures.
its like the 964 RS. they fetch big doh. would prefer a 996 GT3 RS for less money tbh.
I got into my e30 m3 fairly cheap so will enjoy it while I can. if it makes some doh on top then great.
