Fuel Sender
Hi there - I had an issue with my 1990 325i where it was running fine when cold, but would then start to misfire and lose power when the engine got up to temperature. From a bit of googling this seemed to indicate that the fuel pump was faulty. The external one was changed a couple of years ago so I...

Ah sorry if I wasn't clear, it's just the fuel pump that sits in the tank that I need, not the actual tank.
Hopefully that's available

Replica BBS Centre Caps
Has anyone ever bought a set of these Centre Caps? https://www.dhgate.com/product/bbs-17cm-wheel-cover-wheel-center-cap-for/500614576.html#redirect_detail=WAP2PC They appear to attach with a bolt at the side which I guess would involve drilling a hole in the wheel. Just wondered if anyone had any ex...

325i More Door Restoration
Probably cheating a bit, but I've recently sent my 325i off for a resto. I bought it about 8 years ago with a broken cambelt. Lack of time and young kids meant that I didn't get round to it. I acquired a new cylinder head (from Morats FUCR) some years ago, and sent it away to Mid Beds Vehicle Restor...

Classic Car Weekly E30 - E69 VMW
P78 of this weeks Classic Car Weekly has a "The way we were" picture from 1991 - they picked a Tech 1 Sport E69VMW as a car worth mentioning.
It's only showing as only having been SORN since 2014. Anyone on here got it?

Re: Bruv - The King of the Council
I wondered what happened to that car - used to be owned by a guy who worked at a late night convenience store in Hither Green Lane in Lewisham Really? When was this? Can't remember the last time I saw it, but you can see it in this google streetview. Driven by a big Turkish guy. https://www.google....

I've been reading this thread with interest. I've been considering getting something a bit quicker and read all the comments about the reliability of these. the M47 320d is just transport. Exactly how I see it, your in the same territory as a mondeo or similar oil burning french heap so why spend money? And the difference between a 6 cylinder and 4 cylinder e9x is not just the engine http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=483409 In addition ...

Re: 3.0 litre petrol engine any problems
I've had an E90 M47 320d, an E92 N53 330i and now have an E91 N52 325i. A 6-7 year old 3.0 would be the N53. The N54 is the 335i engine The N53 had problems - it was OK for several months, but I ended up repeatedly having to change injectors, coils and also the NoX sensor. If you can get one with fu...

Yes, that is true. Interestingly, there are still a lot on the road in this area as they were very popular around here when new. For example, In my road and the next street along, there are 6 parked permanently in the street and in daily use (2 late model 316i tourings (one of which is adapted for d...

I've seen it driving about Lewisham in South London for as long as I can remember. It's always looked like it would have failed it's next MOT and yet it managed to cling on, for literally years, and I see it's finally bitten the dust. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1987-bmw-e30-black-2500-cc-325i-spares-...
