clutch on way out?

I noticed after driving 100 miles or so today that my clutch pedal won't engage until I push it half way down, and then the biting point had become very low, almost at the floor. It does engage but I literally only lift the pedal about 2 inches now, if that. I'll try to post a vid at some point to e...

headlight ground

hi everyone. I am converting my headlights back to regular halogens from HID (for various reasons) but I just wondered where the best point is for the ground/earth wire to go to as I bought the car with HIDs so have no idea where to put it.

Re: my HID not working

Checked the fuse, seemed fine. I've pulled out the bulb and it looks like something has exploded inside it if that makes sense. I guess it's just a replacement bulb I need then :(

Thanks Speedtouch, will try the newspaper thing.

When I say hot I mean running at normal temp, the needle is sat in the middle on the gauge.

loss of power when hot

hi everyone, hope someone can help. I've recently noticed that when my 325i gets hot I seem to get a lack of power from it. I noticed today that in 1st gear I had to get up to at least 3000rpm before it moved away at a normal pace. I have also noticed that the fan is starting to make a woooooooooosh...

shifting trouble

hi everyone, i've had a bit of a shifting issue since i've owned my car when engaging 1st gear. to engage it, i have to push it to the left and up(as you normally would) but then let off slightly when i push it left. that's the only way it will engage. anyway, i'm now starting to have trouble shifti...

Re: fuel problem

Ok thanks brianmoooore, I wasn't sure where to start but the wiki link suggested changing blue sensor then check the C191. Thanks for reassurance on exhaust dripping. The coolant level is fine, I can't find any leaks either.

Re: fuel problem

Well today I fitted a new blue sensor and bled the system, still all the same. After a minute or so the exhaust starts producing thickish smoke and really smells strongly of fuel. There's a lot of dripping out of the exhaust at this time too ??? The coolant light is still on too. I guess next to che...

Thanks, must be a bearing then as there's no vibration when applying brakes. Can't really tell where the sounds coming from. Could I do a check by jacking up the car and feeling for any movement from the wheels?

electrical contact query - brian mooore??

I noticed when I was changing my license assembly light that the connections had some whitish/blue deposits on them. also the assembly I removed had it covered over one of the metal connections. what sort of corrosion is this and how can it affect the connection?
