Okay, now that's just insensitive in regard to the people who lost friends and familiy in 2011. A moderator may delete this thread if he sees fit, I'm out.

This car was complete shit before he bought it, so this is almost all natural wear and tear, except from the bullet holes.

Re: E36 RAT: Theme and name suggestions, please.
Ah, that's Ståle's beater car, haha. You will not believe the amount of rust that car had in bearing structures before it was scrapped. But one hella cool rat look for sure.

Re:
Yet another slacking day today, so I'll try to get some work tomorrow before Captain Morgan is on the menu! I ordered new e-brake wires, new brake hoses for the rear, some new parts for the front struts and some small bits and pieces. Also picked up the fender flares today, of course I forgot...

I love the color too.
Ordered some parts today, for the first time in over 6 months. Front and rear strut braces and the cab weld reinforcement, wooh.

Thanks for the support guys, it really boosts my motivation to keep on going. :) I am far too sentimental over old E30's, but what the heck - it's a lovely chassis and they're a breeze to drive when proper maintenance has been executed, so why not. I just picked up the rear 2002 Turbo flares, looks ...

Re: mike's pride and joy
Just now realized how little I've been paying attention to this car, so I just bought an alcantara horn button for the steering wheel and I'm currently bidding on a M-tech 1 front again, hope this one is not as bad as the last one. When I get that last piece I'll sand it down and prime it again, the...

Re: mike's 324d, a "lil" chunk of rust.
Thanks guys. :D Haha, Dan, got that right! The front brake calipers are on their way, and the 2002 Turbo flares are in the mail waiting for me to pick them up. I'll sandblast the brakes this weekend hopefully and get them done, and I'll rummage the internet for some original dampers, as we...

mike's 324d, a "lil" chunk of rust.
Hey again! I bought myself a new E30 after I scrapped my old E36 beater December 27th. Pretty spontanious buy, but what the heck, diesels are rare up in this hood and just the crank alone is worth more than I gave for it, so I thought - eh, why not give it a shot at a worthy life. Update 1...

Haha, chill out Tom, this was just a funny phase car. Seems I forgot to keep you updated on how the car was going, haha. I scrapped it yesterday now, so no more Panzerwagon V1. Did some random paintjobs with a heavy theme on it a while back. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/268532_140846352664282_100002167539726_260070_2220596_n.jpg http:...

Re: E36 RAT: Theme and name suggestions, please.
Indeed it does, indeed it does. Will be some random war themes in there as well, but nothing that mixes too much with non-german I hope. I'm covering the whole car in dirty used oil tomorrow, then it'll sit and dry to get the 'black rust' effect.

Relax, I'm not offended by anyone here. You're allowed to post your opinions, but if it is of the sort posted earlier in this thread I'm just going to ignore it. I think it's fun to actually have a car I can have some fun with, compared to my E30 which has costed me around 16.000£ to this date and i...

Re: E36 RAT: Theme and name suggestions, please.
The only reason I'm doing this is because the car would've been scrapped if I hadn't saved it. Not looking for critisism like "RAT LOOK SUCKS", but if you do think so - go read another thread. Or even better, f*ck off and talk about $40 E36 junk on another forum. Eh? This is an E30 forum, and whils...

Well, kinda, haha. I'd like some name and theme suggestions.
Hm, well the universities here in Norway is about 8-9 hours away from me, but still a valid idea if I lived closer. But I'll ask some artist/designer friends for some tips, thanks mate.

Re: E36 RAT: Theme and name suggestions, please.
The car is totally rusty now, after only two hours of salt water and vinegar. Looks quite nice, but it's lacking some decoration. Need some good tips on what to make of the car, as of now it's just rusty and shabby. Not a fan of sticker bombing it. I want something clean, but cool. I'll consider giv...

E36 RAT: Theme and name suggestions, please.
Yes, at least half of the members here probably hate rat look cars, but I'll give it a shot. I bought a crashed E36 318is earlier this year, and rebuilt the front end in a "working" condition. Started with a 1/3 rusted hood, with welded bolts sticking up from the hood to keep it in place. The car lo...
