Pointless? Is it pointless having a Ferrari in Jersey when there is a 40mph speed limit? Probably. Does it matter? No.
I thought it would be interesting if there was such a gearbox. So I could the get revs up a bit before I set off.
Thanks for your help

Auto box with Launch Control?
Hi there Is there an automatic gearbox I can fit in my E30 that has launch control? Could I for instance install an E36 M3 engine and marry that to an automatic gearbox that has launch control? In an ideal world I would buy an automatic car for daily use, but I don't have the space and I don't want ...

Re: Big Brake Kit alternative?
Haha yeah. I didn't plan it. She told me she likes the way car look with red calipers. I told her they are performance brakes which are different. She doesn't know the difference. She just wants me to paint them. But that's so fake and tacky. I couldn't let her drive round with painted OEM calipers....

Big Brake Kit alternative?
My wife asked me to paint the calipers on her car red. I cannot bring myself to do such a thing. I thought I would upgrade her brakes for her birthday. I don't want to spend 1000s on a big brake kit. Is there a cheaper alternative? Like taking 4 or 6 pots from another car like you can for the E30? H...

No need to rebuild an M52 unless you are increasing the capacity/power etc Expect to be spending £3000+ for a decent M20 rebuild with forged/custom pistons Hi DanThe. I wouldn't be adding power straight away. I have plans for a supercharger maybe in the future. Is it a good idea to service and modi...

I forgot to mention I use my car for commuting to work. So I need it to be reliable.
So I'm better off getting an m52 and maybe rebuilding that then?

Engine rebuild or m52 2.8 conversion?
I currently have an m20 2.5 and have been planning on an m52 2.8 conversion but my mechanic mate has thrown a spanner in the works. He said I should rebuild my current engine and add forged piston, change the cams and maybe then add a turbo.
Any advice would be great.

Hello mate. My cigarette lighter is working and the fuse at the back of the head unit is fine. Is there anything else I can check?diable wrote:The head unit may have a separate fuse in either the unit or behind it, you may need to pull it out to check.
Does your cigarette lighter work?

Performance Brake Discs and Pads?
Hi Everone
My pads and brake discs are pretty much had it so it is a perfect opportunity to upgrade to performance parts. I don't have the money for a full brake kit but I would like to upgrade the discs and pads.
What makes should I look for that are not too expensive?
Thanks

Pro Sport Coilovers any good?
I have seen a set of prosport coilovers On eBay for about £220. Are they any good? I am thinking that the coilover route is the best as I have just bought some 17s and I want the car to sit right. Also, I will be doing a m52 conversion next year so I may need to adjust the suspension again. Thanks

There are so many cheap parts on eBay. Is it a good idea to buy parts from eBay? I have bought the odd thing like anti roll bar links and track rod ends and they are fine. I want to buy few things like lowering springs, shocks, brake discs, brake lines, pads etc. Would anyone recommend buying things...
