How about designing shafts to use porsche 911 sized cv joints?
With adapters for the diff flanges etc...

Thanks, don't worry, I'll be doing the fronts too, it's just the rear had got a bit "loose"!
Needs urgent attention, I usually try to upgrade the important bits when they need replacing, just wondered if anyone has b6 fitted with std springs,I don't want to lower the car.

Excellent, thanks, I'll change all the related bits too, but I read that b6 suit std ride height and b8 are shorter stroke for lowered cars. Reason I ask is I've used b6 on other cars and found them brilliant, just wondered if anyone has experience of them on a touring...?... Are the b4 perfectly go...

Touring rear dampers ?
Hi, I am planning on fitting bilstein b6 on the rear of my 325i touring, wondered if this is a good choice with std springs and also what are the preferred top mounts to use with them?
