Awesome Wheels. They do look a bit small though, front definately needs to come down.

I love my 9"s but I can't imagine 10"s & 11"s will drive too well. Anyone who drives my car moans about how it tries to follow the bumps in road and take the wheel out of your hands and that's with a 205 tyre!

No problem. Do you plan to do any events in it? I have a couple mates who drift E36's in the open drift championship.

Re: 87 4 door drift project

I have a pair of part worn 205/45/16"s if you need any spares for skidding. There is slight damage to one of the beads which is why I haven't fitted them to road wheels, fine for a bit of drifting though. £30 just off junction 24

Re: Half asleep in a car wash in Brighton...

That looks very low at the back for 40mm. When I fitted my 50mm springs it was tucking tyre for a week or two then strangely raised itself slightly to how it sits now :?

Re: Arch rolling / flaring

By adjusting I mean rolling, then a few adjustment taps with a hammer. I'm running the same offset (15mm) with 205/40 on the front and 215/40 on the rear. 70mm front drop and 50mm rear drop on springs and I've already worn through one sump. Engine raise is next...

Re: Arch rolling / flaring

I'm running 16x9's and haven't had to touch the front arches but the rears needed a lot of adjusting, including the skin of the panel that bulges out.

this is the pic of the actual kit this picture isn't exactly the actual kit. Hmmm. So for the fronts the top of the shock unit is threaded which allows a collar to be screwed on. This collar is threaded which allows a threaded insert to be screwed on which holds the adjustable collars that act as t...

Nope, pretty sure there is no incorrect way to fit the spring. The ones you have fitted are either longer than stated or most likely stiffer for a heavier model.

Re: Wheel size and offset question? 16x8's.....

I have 16x9 with et 15, 205/40 tyres, 70/50 drop. The front arches are untouched but the rears needed rolling. I'm now running 215/40 on the rear and they needed even more tweeking to stop them rubbing.

Re: oil pressure light on after sump change.

Pretty sure I didn't run it low. I parked up & came back 10mins later to find it sitting in a puddle of oil. It wasn't started again until after the sump was done. It was losing oil as there's a trail quite far down the road but the oil level light or pressure lights didn't come on. The oil used was...

oil pressure light on after sump change.

Just had my sump changed after cracking the old one. It lost its oil after I parked up so fairly sure no damage done then. New sump is now on & the oil pressure light is staying on... anything obvious to check and should I be panicking?

Cheers

I have 70/50 on 16" rims and it's taken about 6 months to wear through the sump. It only catches on narrow country lanes where the middle of the road is high.

I have a similar problem. I removed the door card & removed the motor to test it, as soon as it was free I...
