its a genuine zender kit. It's stamped into the plastic on closer inspection. Sorry the lights are not for sale.

Thanks for the info, thats part of the problem the diffs been replaced from original and i dont know how to tell what diff size it is.

i think there is one of those, i changed the fuel pump and sender 2yrs ago as both failed, the fuel gauge has never been right but worse since the change, maybe its the wrong sender for that size of tank? i know theres different size tanks on some e30's

Fuel Gauge issues

Hi, ive owned e30's for bout 7yrs and have never had one with a proper working fuel gauge. Its now doing my tits in! above half seems to be reasonable but soon as it goes below it just drops then up and down all the time. How do i get a proper working gauge? cheers

Hi, this clocks not been working ever since i got this car and i thought id have a look today, it wasnt plugged in. How do you mean full picture. I told you my rev counter wasn't working. That was the full picture. I never noticed anything else that wasn't working as normal.

ended up being a fuse, which was the last thing i checked! never thought there would be a fuse for just that purpose, o well ,fixed now. cheers

honestly i have no idea, i got the car the way it is. think its the later engine though, theres no dodgy looking wiring anywhere, looks like whoever did it stripped a rotten 325 sport and put all the running gear and wiring onto a clean 316 shell.

sorry, its a h reg and its a 325i sport but was converted from a 316 lux years ago, it all worked fine since ive had it, bout 2 yrs then the rev counter just dropped while driving one night and never worked since.

FAULTY REV COUNTER

Ive been trying to get my rev counter working with no success, ive tried 3 sets of clocks and still nothing. im guessing its maybe a wiring fault? any suggestions would be appreciated.

no it seems to idle fine but soon as you touch throttle it dies and goes back to idle when you lift off. then it just goes back to normal for a few miles till it happens again.

well it started doing this last month, it lasts for maybe a minute or 2 at the most. but yesterday it took me ages to get home. 5mins fine then 2mins no throttle then 10 mins fine and 2mins crap. i havent bothered with it today as i cant be assed breaking down again

Hi, the rev counter in my 325 stopped working a while ago. ive just put the car back on the road this week and i changed the clocks for other ones and it still doesnt work. Anyone have an idea what else it could be?

Faulty rev counter and econ

my counter seems to have stopped working along with the econ one, and the service lights flash once rather than staying on with the ignition. Anybody have this issue before?
