I have the Ashley system on my 325 rally car. It needed a little bit of sorting to fit how we wanted it, as ground clearance is a major problem for a forest rally car. Sound is good and not too loud so passes sound checks with no problem. It is a fairly large bore so flows fine for a 325i.

Elvington 1 December
Hi All
Any one from here coming to this one?
We will be there with my Rally Car to give it a shake down after a extensive rebuild. Very low diff might give us a few problems if the straights are at all long

Re: Seat harness combination advice
You have to be careful about seat height if you intend to race the car. When wearing a helmet your head should be below the roll cage for understandable reasons. Have you got a copy of the MSA blue book. (Motor Sports Association rule book) This will give you all the guide lines for racing in the UK...

Re: Seat harness combination advice
The drivers seat on mine we welded in some strengthening plates with captive nuts and where the floor wasn't level we welded some boxes. Have a look at www.mantasport.co.uk and under projects, Simons BMW Rally Car and there is a picture of what we did.

Re: Seat harness combination advice
I would be welding in some seat rails to bolt the seat mounts to. The floor on the E30 is not flat enough to just bolt the side mounts down. Out of interest have you fitted a roll cage? If not then I would think long and hard about fitting harness belts, speaking from experience of rolling a car wit...

I have a hydrolic hand brake fitted but still need to have a cable one to be legal for road and for rallying. We have had problems wit the stupid little drums so would like to run callipers l...

Could any one confirm what this is? Its mounted next to the offside headlight. I think it might be the dim dip unit but not sure.
