This is an obvious attempt at a rip-off.

Go get the parts back and try your local man Ste. :thumb:

Factory Alarm help?

Mate of mine has a 91' Auto 325 Touring that's had a small fire under the bonnet (fuel leak) that's taken out a chunk of the engine loom. He's managed to get most of the loom back to working order but he's hit a stumbling block with some of the alarm wiring. It's got a factory 3T-E30 alarm system fi...

To eliminate the belts as the source of the noise; 1. Get a small cup of water. 2. Open car bonnet. 3. Start engine a allow to tickover. 4. Carefully & SLOWLY trickle water onto the PAS / Alternator pulleys where the belts run over them. The water acts as a temporary lubricant between the belt & the...

Thanks Ian :thumb: I've just enhanced the picture and your right; you can clearly see the boss fitted to the 1-3 manifold. Nice to know I'm not going ga-ga in my dotage  Just out of interest, how many sensors does the M52/S50, etc have? There's only one on the M50 that goes into the first silen...

M50 Question

I'm part of the group buy for the M/S5x manifolds (funnily enough, in the Group Buy Section :) ) and I'm a bit puzzled as to why no provision is being made for the Lambda Sensors :? I've always been under the impression that if the Lambda was disconnected, the ECU would see it as a failure and switc...

The reset tool pictured on the ECP site appears to be different to the one I have. Mine has a round plug on one end & a 'D' shaped plug at the other, an 'on/off' rocker switch in the centre of the body & LED's for service & oil. I know that the different shaped plugs cater for E30, E34 & E36 because...

I've used the Draper one for the last five years with no problems at all.

Saves faffing about with bits of wire & trying to remember how long to hold them there for.

Just plug 'n' play. :)

Sounds like you may have a couple of different faults. Brian is the wizard for all things electrical so if you can get his attention, you stand a fighting chance of getting it sorted. In the meantime, try looking at the round electrical plug that sits under the intake manifold. It's mounted in a bra...

You've got to use the starter that came with the flywheel. i.e. M20 flywheel = M20 starter. It took me nearly an hour of careful scrutiny  , but it's because of the slightly different diameters of the starter dog gears. If it's any help, I've got a lightened M20 flywheel in an M52 eng / 328i bo...
