No one got any insight here??
Well hopefully I'll find a second right-hand side fuel level sender in a scrappy this weekend, fit it and see if that fixes the issue.
...and I'll post whether or not it was the fix for anyone searching this in future.

Re: Fuel Gauge Light
Considering that until now the light and the gauge have been in sync, in that the gauge will be on empty for a while and then finally the light comes on; yet this last time the light came on whilst the gauge reads far from empty this leads my to think one of the sender units is reading wrong. As the...

Fuel Gauge Light
Driving along today and the low fuel light came on. The actual gauge itself was still showing plenty of fuel remaining, approximately an eighth of a tank, above the red. About where it ought to be with the amount of petrol I put in last and the amount of miles covered. I haven't done enough miles fo...

Re: Signs of Tired Injectors
That's kinda where my thoughts were heading: 7miles to work is barely time to warm up the block. I'm relatively sure my old 2.7 got better mileage than this 2.0 does. Thanks for the input Parkin10, I have no real problems with the car asides the fact that the MPG is crap. Maybe it's time to start lo...

Signs of Tired Injectors
I'm chasing what I believe to be poor fuel economy for an M20B20. No drivability issues, asides from the fact that I don't seem to be able to make the fuel last. £20 gets me ~1/4 of a tank, which is lasting about 65 miles before the light is back on. I've ohm'd out the coolant temperature sensor, go...

Not enough power will be supplied for the ballasts' to sustain an arc, just enough to make them flicker. Kind of same characteristics as when a ballast is dying. One more question, if you will. Any easy way to trick the Check Panel into not throwing the 'Dipped Beam' warning light, without messing a...

Re: City Lights only?
Thanks Brian, I've tried searching on here and Google for this information, was under the impression that the plugs were resistors, and they needed to be disconnected for HID installation as leaving them connected would knacker the ballasts of the xenons with a <12v supply.

City Lights only?
How would I go about having just the city lights come on when the knob is pulled out to the first click? At the moment the dipped beams also come on at reduced voltage after one click.
Any way of changing this?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Heater blower...
Yeah, sounds to me like your blower motor is nearing the end of it's life. The motor starts to bind up certain spots, due to either worn bearings or dead spots in the motor itself. The extra current of setting #4 helps get it moving. Depending on your level of tinkering you may want to look into rep...

Might need to clarify here a little: Are you saying -that the blower only works on speed 4? This is indicative of a bad blower motor resistor pack. or... -that the blower motor didn't blow at all, then it blew on speed four after a while, then all the other speeds worked as well? This is more charac...

Fair enough, that's a valid point.
And as for BMW using parts that aren't necissarily the best, I hear that! Why they'd put Lucas brake servos in the e60 is daft, they fail very early, and the replacements are Girling units!

Don't bother with bosch plugs!!! NGK BPR6ES are by far the best mate. All bosch plugs are shite! I've ran several sets of both in my engine over the years(whichever were cheapest at the time), never really noticed a difference between them. Any particular reason you reckon the Bosch items are crap?
