Re: m30 gearbox flywheel clutch combo - my heads spinning!!

why don't you pay the extra for the proper gearbox etc for the m30 engine, surely the m10 gearbox is sub-standard for this motor?
it may save you time and money in the long run if it fails winkeye

gearbox and fly questions

hi,
could anyone tell me if a manual gearbox, flywheel, clutch assembly from the smaller engined E28 525I M30 would fit my m30 3.5 conversion and would it be strong enough for track use? my 3.5 was removed from a 1990 e32.
any help would be great.
thanks

Re: m30 engine ecu

If you have access to a b35 loom use the whole thing. Saves a lot of time and is an easy job. i have the whole e32 m30 engine loom but its from a auto,i read here http://www.e30.de/335i/16.htm that if i had an auto loom i may as well source a manual loom as many cables run through it to operate the...

Re: m30 engine ecu

No need to change the ECU - any later six-pot one will work, although the correct one is the 0 261 200 179. would it make any difference if the ecu from the m30 engine was from a auto? i am planning on using my 1990 facelift m20 manua...

m50b25 2.8 question.

ive read in some threads about the 2.8 stroker conversion for the m50/m52b25 but these have been single vanos. i cant see it being any different but would it make any difference to the conversion if it where an early m50 non vanos? i have the chance of getting the non vanos but shall i just go for a...
