why don't you pay the extra for the proper gearbox etc for the m30 engine,surely the m10 gearbox is sub-standard for this motor?

Do you know the part number for it? no i don't mate,just been looking on ebay for a box etc and can only find a couple 2.5 m30 box's and fly's :roll: i wanted a dogleg box and fly from the m535i really as it would be great on track but they seem few and far between now and when they do come up are ...

hi,
could anyone tell me if a manual gearbox,flywheel,clutch assembly from the smaller engined E28 525I M30 would fit my m30 3.5 conversion and would it be strong enough for track use? my 3.5 was removed from a 1990 e32.
any help would be great.

If you have access to a b35 loom use the whole thing. Saves a lot of time and is an easy job. i have the whole e32 m30 engine loom but its from a auto,i read here http://www.e30.de/335i/16.htm that if i had an auto loom i may as well source a manual loom as many cables run through it to operate the...

I can supply an uprated or standard M30B35 chip if you need one. No need to change the ECU - any later six-pot one will work, although the correct one is the 0 261 200 179. would it make any difference if the ecu from the m30 engine was from a auto? i am planning on using my 1990 facelift m20 manua...

ive read in some threads about the 2.8 stroker conversion for the m50/m52b25 but these have been single vanos. i cant see it being any different but would it make any difference to the conversion if it where an early m50 non vanos? i have the chance of getting the non vanos but shall i just go for a...

Depends on the width of the alloys, ET25 is standard fitment so somewhere near that.
