Wanted: Pre-facelift Chrome Rear Bumper
Hi there, looking for a chrome rear bumper for my 1990 E30 320i convertible. It's pre-facelift, and I'll take both front and rear if they're in good condition, but the front is passable for now. Thanks!

Re: Dead fuel gauge after instrument panel swap
OK, thanks.
What IS that white cartridge thing under the temp gauge? It looks like it's designed to be removed easily, and it's got what looks like a serial number under it.

Re: Dead fuel gauge after instrument panel swap
I went over a bump hard, and ever since then my speedo was dropping out intermittently. When I tapped the speedo it would respond so I know it's loose behind the dial (as opposed to on the diff). I'm gonna try and solder any loose connections on my original speedo, but I wanted a backup in there jus...

Dead fuel gauge after instrument panel swap
Hi all, I need your brains. I've swapped the instrument panel in my 1990 320i Cab with one from a car that was scrapped. The seller was sure that all the gauges were working in the donor car, but the fuel gauge is reading empty, even though I've got half a tank. All the other dials work fine. This i...

Alpina Accessories
Hello, I'm looking a price for parts for my 16" Alpina wheels. I need 4 wheel badges, 4 lock covers and one lock, for which I can supply a keycode. Also, can you tell me if there's a difference between the wheel badges and the steering wheel badge, and if so, give a price for that too? Can you quote...

That sounds totally reasonable. Here's hoping! Anybody on here got a copy of the alpina parts list? I've found the E30 Alpina brochure (in German), but not a full parts list like the guys in the dealership would have.

Really? I know you can get the entire centre cap, didn't know you could get the badge on its own. I'll give them a try tomorrow.

Replacement Alpina Centre Cap Badges
I've got a set of genuine 16" Alpina rims, and I'm getting the centre caps resprayed, which means goodbye original badges. They needed replaced anyway, but I'm struggling to find a decent quality replacement. The ones I got on eBay made me dry-boke, they were so bad! I've found a couple here and her...

Teapot, where did you get one for that price? That sounds more like the price for a rail (Part 2 on the RealOEM diagram). Also, anybody know if this is something you can fit yourself, or if you'd need it done by a pro?

Can anyone show me a picture of the Glove box light and where it should be? Mine doesn't even seem to have a fitting for a light, let alone any wiring.

I just made the images smaller. Didn't realise they were so huge first time around. Anybody any ideas? I'm not sure it's technical help I need, but this isn't really a styling or detailing question either, so here will have to do.

Dirty exhaust smoke
Hi all, There's a rather large back-box on my 320 cab. I haven't had it very long, and it's quite hard to keep the damn thing clean because of all the soot coming off the exhaust. Is this a normal situation, or is there something wrong with the exhaust airflow? See photos below for an example of how...

Are we keeping this info secret? If so, can someone PM me a source for good replacement sew-in windows? I'm in Northern Ireland so I'll have to fit it myself or get someone over here to do it.

Thanks Brett, I think mine will need replaced at some stage soon. It looks foamy, but it's actually very brittle to touch, and crumbles away when touched or pressed. Should it behave like that, or is it just old?

Re: Alpina Cap Refurb
205/50/16's Gutted. I considered putting 50s on it but thought I'd better stick with what was on it before. Oh well, next time. As for the caps, I did mean centre caps, and I could have sworn they were plastic. They feel and sound very light, even for aluminium. Every day's a school day I guess. Ha...

Re: Alpina Cap Refurb
I'll bow to the experts here, but I'm pretty sure they're real, and fairly sure the caps are made of a tough plastic, not metal. It's dark now, so I'm not gonna go out and take a photo of the cap itself, but here's a photo of one of the rims. You be the judge. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4083/503...

Price for boot lid lamp or 'Trunk Light'
Hi,
Looking a price for a boot lid lamp or trunk light for a 1990 320 Cab. Part number is maybe 63310398697 or 63316961985. I also need a bulb, and shipping price to Belfast too please.
