Later model Porsche 944's use alloy arms with "non-rebuildable" ball joints. Folks are getting them re-built with grease nipples installed. Don't know any details (it's easy enough to just buy a good used one), but the know-how could already be out there...

Many thanks for the thermostat housing (m20b25). It was nice to meet you and also check out your work. Without this part I would never of been able to detect the leak in the radiator! AHHHH

Big thanks to Mark for supplying me a very good replacement cylinder head (m20b25). He even soaked up the cost for a new valve and a helicoil job for one of the exhaust stud holes. Head came complete with Pressure Test certificate with the date etched on the side casting. Great service all round. A+...

Pre Cat AFM
A friend recently bought a 1991 318i that has the wrong exhaust fitted - no cat and the AFM doesn't have a mixture adjuster. Would an earlier unit with mixture control function ok or is a pre cat ECU needed as well.
