E30 Zone

Anyone using Textar brake discs and pads? need new rear discs and pads as warped and squealing.. Textar are supposed to be OEM but also have option of Pagid discs and pads?

looks terrible - what a waste of a touring..

My B8's are definitely 51mm. Thinking maybe it is springs that have sagged causing moving and clicking sound..

My ongoing troubles with front coil springs.. Have Bilstein B8's fitted with Apex -30 mm springs. Springs are clicking on and off. I was under impression that I had correct set up and that B8's were shortened shocks so should work well with lowering springs. When car is jacked up you can turn spring...

Also try cleaning ICV valve next to throttle body - clean it with carb cleaner.
Had same problem with my car - changed blue temp sensor, cleaned ICV and now car starts first time, every time..

Mine works out at 15.57 mpg around town...

Have B8's - I was certain that they are shorter than B6's..

Think they did do shocks up with air gun as one of boot protectors is twisted.
Could I sort this problem by undoing top 19mm nut just a little?

Going to have springs changed either way - anyone else have any views on Eibach or H&R preference?? used with B8 shocks. Don't want hard ride as lots of speed bumps in my area..

H&R would be touring specified.

I have Bilstein B8 shocks on car - so shorter sports type designed for use with lowering springs.
Do you think I might have a problem with struts or missing washers etc in setup??

So do you reckon H&R touring springs or Eibach cab springs? both are supposed to be -30mm drop..
Want to make this the last time I change springs over..

Do you have picture of car with Eibachs on?I also have B8 shocks on mine. I've heard that Eibach ride quality is supposed to be great. My only concern with H&Rs are the price and hard ride quality..

The axle load is different. Just been told that you can still get H&R springs for touring. they are £330 delivered from Germany. they are -30mm all round

Supposed to be different spring rate as axle load is different..

Eibach and H&R have stopped production of springs for touring.

I had both front upper mounts replaced. So presuming it's the Apex springs that are the problem..

Yes, medium case.. Does any one have a spare medium case diff back plate they want to sell me?? in London area. Planned to fit it today and get car back on the road..

Took rear diff plate off to have new Z3M bush pressed in... I now have a back plate with a smart Z3M bush in it - including a nice big crack running through back plate... Wishing I had gone the polly bush route now, what a start to a sat morning..., pissed off

Polly rear trailing arm bushes or standard rubber ones? have B8 shocks and apex springs on car. Don't want to be changing them again in near future, but heard mixed reviews on polly ones.

Getting serious knocking noises from back end of car so need changing asap...

Just ordered Z3M bush

Need to buy new diff bush tomorrow. Question is should I go for pollybush type or Z3 solid rubber bush?? Which is better?

Isn't Powerflex bush better? also don't need press to fit it
