Re: STOLEN: E30 318is H759 TRM from Reading Berkshire
I'm not too far away from Reading, will keep an eye out. Hope it gets found quickly.
Definitely contact the police to try and get some CCTV footage from the surrounding areas.
Did it have a steering lock/alarm when parked up?

Re: 2 door 325i manual chromie
Thanks for the replies.
I'm planning on going down again this weekend to have a proper look around the car to find out the extent of rust and make a final decision on whether it'll be a project I will be able to handle given that I've already got an E30!
Will report back

Re: 2 door 325i manual chromie
That's what I'm also thinking, a decent respray would be around 3k I'd imagine. What are 2 door manual 325i chromies worth anyway, with say 3 owners and 120k miles? Are there many of them about? I'm trying to gauge whether it's worth taking on this project or whether it's worth just buying one that'...

2 door 325i manual chromie
Hi, I've recently been presented with an opportunity to buy a chromie in need of some TLC and I'm looking for a bit of advice/info with regards to values. The car in question is a 3 owner 1986 chromie in Bronzit Beige, a 2 door 325i in manual. It looks fairly well specced with pop-outs and 15"bbs. I...

I've never dealt with Munich Legends personally so can't comment on their level of service from a personal experience. However, a well known Zoner did tell me a story once which left me shocked! I wouldn't think this Zoner would have made it up either! I won't be giving any names nor delving any fur...

Re: What an M3 bargain!!
I remember a thread on the Zone many years ago when someone advertised a red Sport for £5K. Everyone started slating him and demanding that he take pictures of the car on the ramp of the entire underside to prove it wasn't rotten. That was back when good sports could be had for around £2,500-£3,000 ...

Re: New to the BMW game
My first E30 was a 318i and I absolutely loved the car and would have kept it for the long haul had it not ended up being rear ended. Although it was a lowly 4 door automatic which is probably the worst spec around, it was a good base to start on and it never gave me any trouble during the 2 years I...

Where about are you located?
If you're down south, it's worth trying Pacerpete or BSS325i. Although very busy, they've both done top jobs when they've managed to fit me in.

Power Steering Help Required
I've got an issue with the power steering on my cabby and need some guidance on how to tackle the problem. The steering is very heavy, so either the rack or the pump has failed. I had the fluid changed about 800 miles ago when it had an Inspection 2 carried out by Barry on here last year. It has now...

Re: Where will prices level out ?
prices for ANY e30 will slowly go up, even more so when it come's to the likes of sport's, hartge, alpina, schnitzer etc, but like you say in time the bubble will burst & prices will stagnate for a bit then drop again & then slowly rise again before falling. have a look at the classic jap & ford ma...

Re: Where will prices level out ?
I can't see it ever slowing down. Its not just e30s its any "good" pre 90 car. Agreed. Nothing can continue to infinitely increase without any sign of slowing in growth. This applies to everything in the world around us. There will be a point when the rate at which price increases will slow, and th...

I have Continentals on my 325i and from my experience they give exceptionally good grip in the wet and in the dry. I haven't yet experienced any sliding or loss of traction, even when pushing it around corners in the wet and dry.

Re: Searching for a e30 325 cab
The M40B18 engine is an extremely reliable engine and very simple to work on. I used to have a 318i auto as a daily a couple of years ago and it never missed a beat in the year and a half that I owned it. I would of still kept that car and never replaced it with my 325i cab if it wasn't for it a rea...

Re: 325i motorsport
IIRC the chancer selling this car had it listed up for £24,995 previously on Pistonheads. Non-Motorsport interior, which looks really really worn and scruffy, polished with cockpit-shine. Really dirty engine bay, which makes you question how well the current owner takes care of the car. Slammed on c...

That looks beautiful!
As for the wheels, I've been told that "Bilberry Wheel Cleaner" is a good product for cleaning wheels.
I haven't tried it but I'm considering buying it.

Hi, I'm looking to get refurbished a rear subframe that I've bought to replace my existing cracked one, as it has some surface rust/peeling paint on it. I'd like to put a fresh one on to tidy up the underside of the car. Does anyone on here know of someone who does such refurbishing if I send them m...

I'v seen a black E30 cabriolet local to me with an MTech 2 kit on it on a J plate. The strange thing is, it's got a prefacelift rear, with the smaller prefacelift lights and not the same facelift lights like my H reg cabriolet. Re: B6 shocks
You're right, dampers do fade when they overheat, but that's dependent on the type of damper in question. The shear modulus of a spring decreases with an increase in temperature. This will change the value of the spring rate F = -kx An increase in temperature will therefore result in a lower force r...
