Directly from Kenlowe. Around £130 IIRC.
It came with all the bits required for fitting and was a doddle to install.
I found Kenlowe exceptionally helpful in specifying the right kit for my car. Recommended.

Re: Toyo 888 pressures?
R888s work best at 40-45psi hot... What you start at cold will depend on the weight of your car and how hard you drive and work the tyres...along, of course with air and track temperatures.. The nearside front will get hottest...at least on a right handed circuit... Running the tyres at too low a p...

Re: Dunlop DZ02 Vs. R888
Thanks guys for your input.. I couldn't agree more about the "loss leader" approach from Toyo.. Shame, as they were really quite cheap for the performance they offerred.. I guess the £/Yen exchange rate has changed significantly in the last year or so - prices were bound to go up.. Interesting comme...

Re: Dunlop DZ02 Vs. R888
I use DZ02. Will never use R888 again. Not only they steer much better, grip better, they also last longer! They are non directional, which means you can swap them around. But two tyres will alway run "backwards" if you look at the profile (they have outside-inside marking) I have done about 1500km...

Yep sounds about right....
I use 205/50 and I could get them for around £75 each this time last year.. Yesterday I was quoted £113!
Not happy!

Dunlop DZ02 Vs. R888
Hi, I've been using R888s for the last 3 years and I've always found them excellent on track. I recently went to buy a set and was shocked to see how much the price has increased compared to last year.. :x R888s are now in the ball park of the Dunlop DZ02 which begs the question: Are the Dunlops muc...

Oh dear, that's a shame.... I seem to remember you were asking about discs some months ago and decided on the powerdiscs.. What pads are you using? (what fluid too?) I've never had any fade with EBC Yellow/ Power Disc combo.. EBC yellows. The fluid was completely renewed but it's not fancy motorspo...

Re: Looking to buy this set...are they any good??
Having said that though, I have used ATE PowerDiscs (from ECP) to good effect. Cheaper than gen BMW too. I've got them on my car at the moment, and am disappointed with them. They fade too easily. :( Oh dear, that's a shame.... I seem to remember you were asking about discs some months ago and deci...

Re: Looking to buy this set...are they any good??
Would have to agree there - standard BMW discs are of the highest quality. Yes, they aren't grooved or drilled but they will take a lot more abuse than most aftermarket discs I've seen. In any case, it's often said that drilled discs are prone to cracking.. Having said that though, I have used ATE P...

I have used EBC Yellows on my track car for a while now and they have been very good indeed in terms of fade resistance and modulation.. Would agree with the comments so far - concentrate on making the thing handle first (whatever engine you end up with). There's also so much to learn in terms of driving technique that engine power should be last on the list.. A 320i that's 100% fit and sorted in the handling dept. will offer nearly ...

I didn't know ECP sells SFK bearings, always thought that CAS is the sole importer (Central Auto Supplies). I can confirm that it is SKF bearings that ECP are selling as I fitted 2 at the weekend :) Well, I'm glad you've confimred that it is possible to get decent bearings from ECP.. I guess you ha...

So does that mean added negative camber could also have an adverse effect on wheel bearing life?

Norwich, got to be Snetterton. And because its so far away from everybody (except you) track days there are usually pretty cheap. Out of interest.. I assume with 4 lug hubs, the bearing can be replaced in the flange and then put back on? (Unlike the m3 setup where the bearing is intergral to the flange..) Every E30 wheel bearing I have bought comes integral with the flange/hub. I guess it's posible but I've never seem the bea...

Re: Wheel bearings for track cars
I used the better quality GSF ones for years on my 325 and yeah you might need to change them once a season but for the price you can't go wrong. Having said that, it's very easy to fit them badly and end up with them failing very quickly So what would constitute bad fitting??? I stuck mine on and ...

OK guys, I have to admit, I bought ECP ones (their "quality" items) for £50 each.. :o: I don't normally skimp on stuff like this but I have used GSF bearings (Febi) in my last track car and they were fine for the 2 years I used it on track. I am using standard BBS 15" with R888 tyres.. One of these ...

Wheel bearings for track cars
Do any of you PBMW/trackday guys use uprated front wheel bearings????
In my experience, front wheel bearings (particularly the nearside) don't last that long with hard track use, so I was wondering if there is anything a bit more heavy duty out there...
Any ideas?

Although I've not actually owned one, I have experienced a Scorpion full system on a 325i and it seemed pretty good. Well made and not too loud at all. Plus, it had relatively subtly sized tail pipes..

However, I see that a lot of the PBMW guys use Pagid RS29 - are they really worth the extra cash??
